Utah Housing has a new CEO – welcome to David Damschen David comes to Utah Housing from the Office of Utah State Treasurer, where he served for seven years as chief deputy and more than five years as Utah’s state treasurer. During his time in office, he served as an ex officio member of 19 boards and commissions, including Utah Housing’s Board of Trustees. Per David’s bio on the Utah.gov website, he is a former U.S. Coast Guard officer and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business. He was the 2019 president of the National Association of State Treasurers, and just completed his 18th season as a volunteer member of the National Ski Patrol. He has extensive experience in institutional investments and treasury operations. Before joining the treasurer’s office, he spent nearly twenty years in the private sector in the institutional trust and custody, treasury management, and retail divisions of a national banking organization. Governor Cox applauded David to The Salt Lake Tribune. “As state treasurer for the past five years, David Damschen has safeguarded individual property rights and greatly contributed to Utah’s tremendous economic success…We’re grateful for his commitment to public service and wish him every success as CEO of the Utah Housing Corporation.” Utah Attorney General, Sean D.
