ABSTRACT Cuddalore District – Combined Water Supply Schemes to Cuddalore Municipality, Bhuvanagiri & Parangipettai Town Panchayats and 812 rural habitations in Cuddalore District with River Kollidam as source at a cost of Rs. 260.54 crore to install and Rs.6.00 crore for annual maintenance – Cleared by the Empowered Committee - Administrative Sanction - Orders issued. No. F.Cuddalore CWSS / AE 1 / PDC / 2012 dated 27.10.2012 *** ORDER:- The Honourable Minister for Municipal Administration and Rural Development while moving Demand No.34 among others, has announced that Combined Water Supply Scheme to Cuddalore Municipality, Bhuvanagiri & Parangipettai Town Panchayats and 812 rural habitations in Cuddalore District with River Kollidam as source at Eyyalur would be taken up for implementation during the year 2012-13. 2. The Managing Director, TWAD Board in his letter read above, has stated that, it has been programmed to take up the above Scheme in two Phases and Detailed Project Report for Phase-I has now been prepared and for Phase II is under preparation. 3. The Managing Director, TWAD Board has now sent a proposal for providing Combined Water Supply Scheme to Cuddalore Municipality, Bhuvanagiri & Parangipettai Town Panchayats and 812 rural habitations in Cuddalore District with River Kollidam as source, at a cost of Rs. 260.54 crore to install and Rs.6.00 crore to maintain annually. The Per capita cost is Rs.4,271/-.The cost per 1000 litres is Rs.29.10. Beneficiaries:- Urban Rural Beneficiaries Sl. The Board in its meeting held on 07.09.2012 vide its resolution No.2.2, has resolved to recommend to Empowered Committee for recommending to Government for according Administrative Sanction for the proposal. 5. Based on the recommendation of the Board, the Empowered Committee after careful consideration, has resolved to recommend the above proposal to Government for according Administrative Sanction. 6. As recommended by the Empowered Committee, and as requested by the Managing Director, TWAD Board, the Government after careful consideration, accord administrative approval for providing Combined Water Supply Schemes to Cuddalore Municipality, Bhuvanagiri & Parangipettai Town Panchayats and 812 rural habitations in Cuddalore District, with River Kollidam as source, at a cost of Rs. 260.54 crore to install and Rs.6.00 crore to maintain annually and to implement with the following funding pattern :- Sl.
