SolarCity, City of Glendora Celebrate Largest Solar Project in City’s History

Solar power for teen recreation center is expected to save City thousands in energy costs over the next 20 years

WHAT: SolarCity® and the City of Glendora will present a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate completion of the largest installation the City has ever undertaken. The 748-panel, 180-kilowatt array will allow the Crowther Teen and Family Center to generate renewable energy on-site, and is expected to save the City several thousand in the first year of operation.

“The Glendora City Council is very pleased to become a leader in the use of renewable energy to help the environment and reduce our energy costs,” says Glendora Mayor Douglas F. Tessitor. “This project is another example of our efforts to meet our obligations to future generations through innovative public-private partnerships.”
