LEARN ITALIAN AND LIVE AN AUTHENTIC ITALIAN EXPERIENCE CATALOG 2016 “I started to organize my first courses in Italian language and culture way back in 1985 with the original and exclusive formula “small courses in a small city”. The idea, courageous and innovative, proved to be a winner. I chose a small town rich in history, arts and culture like Urbania as the location for my school of Italian language for international students, a place on “human scale”, an ideal place for Italian language courses in , where students can participate in the local life of a pleasant community.

Carlo A. Pasotto Founder and President Centro Studi Italiani CENTRO STUDI ITALIANI

Founded in 1985, Centro Studi Italiani is the first school for foreigners in the Region and one of the most respected institutions of its type in the world. Ever since its foundation, the school has provided Italian language and culture classes to more than 15,000 students from all over the world. Centro Studi Italiani offers all levels of Italian courses for students of all ages, from grammar and conversation classes for the absolute beginner to literature courses for the extremely advanced. The programs are therefore flexible, adaptable, varied, rich and unique. Classes are intentionally small to allow students to best relate to each other while enjoying personalized and individual attention from faculty.

METHOD

Our fundamental criterion when teaching is to put the student – each individual student, with his own particular personality and potentials – at the center of our attention. Our teaching methods are carefully selected (communicative, logical-functional, rational study of the language, etc.) adapting them, case by case, to our needs and teaching objectives. Our teaching strategy is therefore experimental, flexible, adaptable, “creative” and thus inimitable.

URBANIA

Nestled between the Apennine Mountains and the Adriatic Sea, Urbania is historically known as an ancient center of art and culture. When founding the school, the city was intentionally chosen to best accomplish the school’s winning vision: ‘small courses in a small town’. Students have the chance to fully immerse themselves in a safe and unspoiled environment and focus on their studies. There are supermarkets and shops of all kinds; gyms, bars, restaurants, cafes, and pizzerias. There are concerts, shows, exhibitions and entertainment of all kinds, especially during the summer (June – September). Urbania is a valid alternative to cities invaded by mass tourism. In Urbania it is easy to make friends and practice the language.
