SEMECARPUS ANACARDIUM: A REVIEW Mansoria Poornima Sharma Anita Gothecha Vinod Kumar Dept. of P.G.studies in Agad Tantra, N.I.A. Jaipur Rajasthan

ABSTRACT anacardium is commonly known as BHALLATAK. It has been used since hundred of years in Indian system of medicine(Ayurveda). It has lots of medicinal property due to various chemical compounds, which are present in it, like bhilawanol, biflavonoids, phenolic compounds etc. The present review deals with the description, chemical composition, pharmacological ac- tivities of Semecarpus anacardium.. Key words: Bhallataka, Semecarpus anacardium
