PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Primary purpose of the position is to implement project activities (Project title: Local Level Action for Sustainable Recovery) with communities in municipalities of Gra?anica, Petrovo, Lukavac, Srebrenik and Kalesija.

In order to achieve the expected results of the proposed project, the individual will be responsible for all aspects of (1) communication with relevant stakeholders from the local level in order to support local DRR structural measures within communities; (2) communication and close cooperation with local organizations/partners in DRR Network and consultants from the local level in establishment and work of DRR working groups; (3) coordination and implementation of proposed project activities within five local communities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate implementation of small-scale environmental and economic recovery interventions, in line with specific local needs per municipality.

Establish and support functioning of DRR working groups within the local communities.

Provide logistic and technical support to local communities in management of WGs and development of local DRR plans.

Coordinate and implement project activities related to education of local partners and

Page 1/3 key stakeholders in DRR and DRM, ensuring their active participation in implementation of DRR measures.

Maintain an active participation of all relevant stakeholders within the project.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Minimum secondary education;

Knowledge of English Language, as well as fluency in local languages;

Ability to work with people of different nationalities and cultural, religious and educational backgrounds.

Ability to organize, coordinate and priorities;

Ability to work under pressure;

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with other team members and local stakeholders;

Full commitment to World Vision core values and mission statement;

Two years of working experience in implementation of project activities. Minimum one year experience in field work.

B category driving license is essential (Two years of active driving).

Experience in implementation of project activities in the field of DRR sector is preferred and considered as an asset.
