The centre would provide services to Idea Cellular. The centre was formally inaugurated by Dr. Raman Singh, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh today in the presence of Ramesh Bais, Member of Parliament, Raipur and Brijmohan Agrawal, Minister-Public Works Department, School Education and Parliamentary Affairs, Chhattisgarh. In line with its hub-and-spoke model, MphasiS’ Raipur centre would be part of its network of centres and act as a spoke in the region, working closely with the MphasiS’ Indore Hub, said a press release. The new BPO centre in Raipur highlights the company’s leadership in identifying talent in non-urban India. The BPO centre would eventually house over 500 employees and aims to expand exponentially, thus creating job opportunities in the state. “We are very delighted that MphasiS has chosen to invest in Chhattisgarh to set up their BPO centre.” said Dr. Raman Singh, CM of Chhattisgarh after he inaugurated the centre. He added that they extended their complete support to MphasiS in their endeavor to build its presence in Chhattisgarh. This would act as a catalyst to spur economic growth in the region. “MphasiS is happy to launch the first BPO centre in the state of Chhattisgarh. This centre is a reflection of our commitment to inclusive growth and to leverage talent available in the state.” said Raj Patil, president, Business Process Outsourcing Business Unit. “We have found the right partner in MphasiS to realize our growing business needs.” said Navanit Narayan, chief service delivery officer, Idea Cellular. He added that the talent in the state, combined with MphasiS’ expertise and domain knowledge in delivering business process offerings would further enhance their unparalleled customer services to Idea subscribers Web Portal: CXO Today DATE: June 15, 2010 MphasiS to hire over 500 employees for Raipur BPO MphasiS, an IT services provider, has opened a new Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) centre in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The centre will kickstart the BPO by providing services to Idea Cellular, which is the largest mobile services operator in the Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh area. MphasiS intends to recruit over 500 employees at the Raipur center. The Raipur centre will be part of the MphasiS network of centers and act as a 'spoke' in the region, working closely with the Indore Hub. This is part of the company's 'hub-and-spoke' model. According to MphasiS, the new BPO center in Raipur is also a means to rope in talent in non-urban India.
