2018 Sampling Program Recap

For less than 28 cents per sample, vendors were able to participate in our Teen & College Sampling Program that distributed sample bags to 20,000 teens and college students across the country. Taylor Swift’s Reputation Stadium Tour is the 5th concert tour by American - songwriter Taylor Swift, in support of her latest album, Reputation. Our street teams arrived at Ford Field around 8:30pm to set up on Brush and Madison, as well as E. Adams and John R. The rush started around 10:50pm and then the crowds started to pour in – lots of happy fans post-concert and the teens loved getting free product on top of that, with many stopping right there to look through their goodies. Overall, the crowd was very happy and excited about their free sample bag!

Ed Sheeran w/ Snow Patrol September 27, 2018 Philadelphia, PA Financial Field

2018 has seen Ed Sheeran taking his blockbuster studio album Divide, and additional popular hits on tour across North American stadiums with support from indie rockers Snow Patrol. Our street teams were in Philly and worked the crowds as they were leaving from 9pm to 12am. The fans were thrilled with the giveaway bags they received! BTS mania hit NJ in full force! Korean Boy Band BTS and KPOP superstars performed for a sold-out audience and our ground crew was on-site. We arrived at the arena at around 9 pm when most people were still inside, but we were able to meet with a few vendors and some spectators. We set up two stations—one at each door—and created amazing distribution tables at each. At 10 pm the show began trickling out, with full exit around 10:30 and by 11 pm our tables were empty already. We were able to distribute all bags to very thankful attendees in only 30 minutes!

Maroon 5 October 15, 2018 New York, NY

Maroon 5 played Madison Square Garden on Monday, October 15th to a sold-out crowd. This was the last night of the tour, and they ended it with a bang! There were 20 songs in the set list including the encore. The stage was large and out into the crowd for the band to interact with the fans, and did not disappoint. Our crews were at the entrances after the show handing out bags to grateful attendees. We received positive responses like, “Really? Awesome!”, “Thank you so much!” and “I can’t wait to try these!” Bruno Mars October 26, 2018 Los Angeles, CA Staples Center

After performing nearly 200 concerts on six continents on his 24K Magic World Tour, pop superstar Bruno Mars brought his tour to Los Angeles, and we were there for the sold-out show on Friday night. Our Just for You team got to the Staples center at 9 pm and set up at 3 exits. At 10:45 pm we began greeting people as they left and at 11:30 pm it was in full swing. We were through our gifting quickly and really had a great time. Everyone was excited to receive the bags, and we got lots of positive comments like “I really needed more skin care products”, “I am so glad you guys are here!”, and “You guys are so nice for giving us all this stuff!” Boston University Boston, MA

Sampling at Boston University on Tuesday turned out to be a great event! It was the first day of classes so campus was full of festivities and students. We passed the Just for U bags out to eager young women who were excited about all the freebies inside. We distributed bags to several sororities, as well as the women’s lacrosse team. All 2,000 bags were gone quickly as there was no shortage of excited students!

Rutgers New York, NY

There were lots of freshman who were completely astounded that we were out there just to give them free gifts, and congratulate them on being there. The upperclassmen were quite excited as well. They really enjoyed the fact that everything about that day was about them. A lot of staff members came to thank us for what we were doing, and stated they were happy to have us. Lots of positive feedback was received such as “This has to be the best thing I have experienced today” and “These samples are wonderful!” SUNY Buffalo - Amherst Campus Buffalo, NY

We distributed all the bags at all sororities, the freshman dorms, student union, law school and all around campus. All the girls at school loved the samples, and were appreciative of the free products. We got many nice comments, and girls were loving that there were some full size products in the bag! Many of them asked where they could redeem the coupons.

University of California, Berkeley Berkeley, CA

Sampling at Cal Berkeley was awesome! We handed out bags at all of the sororities, the student center, and around campus. All the girls loved them and we were thanked so many times for our work. We got many nice comments and girls really appreciated all of the free samples. All 50 boxes were distributed, and we received many positive comments including “Some of these products are so expensive, and you guys are giving them out for free? I wish everybody thought like that!”, “Thanks! Loving these thoughtful, super useful little gift bags.” University of Maryland College Park, MD

Sampling at the University of Maryland was a success! The young ladies in the dining hall were completely ecstatic and girls came from everywhere seeking out the bags. We handed them out at several sororities as well. All 50 boxes were distributed. The girls were so excited and we received lots of positive feedback such as, “What’s this? What do you mean it’s free and just for me?”, “I love Dry Shampoo! Some of these samples, as you called them, are actually full-sized!”
