Data Background:

Retail data utilised in this report is sourced from: http://www.tradedata.co.za

The research field team consist of over 80 auditors, who visit both retail and wholesale stores all major chains and all nine provinces, on a regular basis. Using the latest in mobile technology, theses auditors are able to capture on-shelf pricing, promotions (where indicated), stock levels and availability, share of shelf, merchandising information, product ranging and planogram compliance, as well as geo-spatial verification and census data. This information in syncronised back to the hub, where the data goes through various levels of quality control by both our Data Processing and Quality Assurance representatives. Once the teams are satisfied that the high level of quality has been achieved, the data is sent to their Analysts.
