Englewood Construction Interiors Team Begins Work on Seven Projects in and North Carolina

Noodles & Company Replaces Nick’s Fishmarket in Loop and Five Bright Horizons on the Horizon

CHICAGO (June 26, 2012) – Englewood Construction, one of the country’s leading commercial construction firms, has announced its interiors team has begun work on seven new projects, including four in the Chicago market and three in North Carolina.

“Each new month has brought a steady stream of projects this year,” said William Di Santo, president of Lemont, Ill.-based Englewood Construction. “So far, 2012 is on track to be one of the busiest years ever for our interiors team. We are fortunate to have solid relationships with marquee national brands that are taking advantage of this market.”

Continuing with their successful relationship, Bright Horizons has recently hired Englewood for five new projects. In May, the firm began remodeling work on the early childhood development provider’s locations at 6107 N. River Road in Rosemont, Ill. and 325 Grand Ave. in Chicago.

Englewood is also doing tenant improvement work at three Bright Horizons locations in North Carolina. The two Raleigh facilities are located at 8516 Old Lead Mine Road and in the Glaxo’s Research Triangle Park, while the Durham location is at 4205 Capitol St.

“It has been wonderful to see our relationship with Bright Horizons continue to grow,” said Di Santo. “Our expertise with early learning centers is something that we are very proud of as we find providing safe and healthy environments for children important work that is also very rewarding.”

In Chicago’s Plaza at , Englewood’s interiors team has begun work on the first Noodles & Company to enter the Loop submarket. The fast-casual eatery will open in space formerly occupied by Nick’s Fishmarket at 47 S. Clark St. Scheduled to open in September, the restaurant is designed by Des Plaines, Ill.-based Chipman Design.

“Construction projects and build-outs in the Loop take extra care and planning, as the congestion of the submarket and the daily vehicle and foot traffic can make it challenging to coordinate a project,” said Di Santo.

According to Di Santo, the loading dock for this Noodles & Company is located across the street from the actual site, which will require Englewood to rely on its experience in not disrupting traffic flow and pedestrian movement as it completes the project.

“Some firms might find it difficult to complete construction work in the Loop,” said Di Santo. “But one of the reasons we were awarded this job is because of our successful track record of building in this submarket and knowing what it takes to deliver a project on-time and on- budget in the Loop.”

Finally, Englewood’s interiors team will perform tenant improvement work at the Destination Maternity at 1 S. 550 Route 83 in Oak Brook, Ill. Cortland Morgan Architects out of Arlington, Texas will serve as the architectural firm on the project.
