PMD News A broad program to uplif economy of people of @PMDNewsGov Presidential Secretariat secured the Gold Award for east through Gramashakthi People’s Movement the Public Sector - Inter Department category at the National Productivity Awards ceremony  PMDNews (SJ)  Friday February 8th, 2019

The Government officials of the east pointed out that through developing the livelihoods of people of low income families of the east by the Gramashakthi People’s Movement, the economy of the people improved substantially.

The Gramashakthi People’s Movement, a prominent project which is conducted by the President’s office under the guidance of President Maithripala Sirisena held its eastern province meeting with the participation of the public officers and public representatives of the province at the Divisional Secretariat of Manumunai, North, Batticaloa today(8). Out of them 700 are public oriented & Commerce, Resettlement of Protracted Displaced villages and 300 are production and services oriented villages.
