Southern Maryland's Donnie Neuenberger Teams Up With Southern Maryland Based Team for Daytona

Donnie Neuenberger is excited to start the 2012 season by competing in both the ARCA and NASCAR Nationwide series events at Daytona International Speedway. Donnie will be competing in the ARCA #40 Carter Racing Dodge on February 18th and in the Nationwide #76 Eagle Convenience Store Ford with Ray Hackett Racing on February 25th.

Ray Hackett Racing was founded by Maryland businessman Ray Hackett. 2012 will mark the team's fifth consecutive year racing in NASCAR. Ray Hackett Racing has just completed work on a brand new race shop located in Salisbury, .

Eagle Convenience Stores are an Alabama based convenience store chain located from Opelika to , mainly in the central Alabama area. The mom and pop stores are owned and operated by Darryl Saucier. Not only is Donnie a seasoned NASCAR veteran but a cancer survivor. In 2004 Donnie began the race season with his first fully funded year of racing in the NASCAR Busch Series. He stepped out of the car five races into the season after being diagnosed with non-hodgkin’s lymphoma, a form of cancer. After completing eight months of extensive treatment, Donnie then climbed back into his car at the 2005 Daytona season opener. His cancer remains stable and he has been working hard to return to a full time ride.

The Donnie Neuenberger Foundation allows Donnie to continue his support of families and children with cancer. His commitment is to aid both the physical and financial for those in need which has led Donnie to establish his foundation. Donnie understands first-hand how difficult it is to successfully manage cancer and the effects it has on the family. In Daytona Donnie will be running a special commemorative sticker recognizing a long time friend and business associate, Todd Painter, who passed away January 29, 2012 after seven years of fighting colon cancer.
