Annual TDM Meeting & Awards The DCTMA held its Annual TDM Meeting & Awards on Tuesday, June 11 at the Springfield Country Club. This event featured refreshments, raffle prizes, free giveaways, bike commuting infor- mation, and helmet-fit- ting recommendations. DCTMA organizes Bike to Work Day each year to promote commuting by bike as a more eco-friendly way to travel to work.

11th Annual High School Engineering Scholarship Leslie Richards, along with the DCTMA Engineering Seatbelt Challenge Committee awarded the 4th Annual $1,000 Engineering Chichester High School won DCTMA’s High School Scholarship to Jon Henry Cowart, III, a sophomore Seat Belt Challenge. engineering student at Penn State University Brandywine. Student drivers increased their seat belt use by 15% this year, and they had the largest increase out of all participating schools. DCTMA presented the school’s SADD organization with a $500 check and special plaque to hang in the school. Community Traffic Safety Project Our Community Traffic Safety Project has brought 597 programs and presentations to the County this fiscal year, and has reached over 113,584 people.

The Teen Safe Driving ROADeo was held for students from Delaware, Chester, Bucks, and Montgomery Counties in May to educate teen drivers on safe driving behaviors, learn how to change a tire, and other useful knowledge pertaining to driving.

CTSP hosted a Halloween Pedestrian Safety Press Conference at Highland Park Elementary School in conjunction with PennDOT where pedestrian safety tips were offered to the region. 24th Annual Employment & Career EXPO Qualified job applicants came out for the Employment & Career EXPO, held October 11th, 2018 at Springfield Country Club.

This event is presented by Delaware County Council and the DCTMA, and it is open to all candidates seeking employment in various industries. 282,339 EXPO partners include employees CareerLink, the Delaware County in Delaware Commerce Center, and the Delaware County County Chamber of Commerce.

597 CTSP programs reached 113,584 people

SEPTA Key www.septakey.org The DCTMA is ensuring all public transportation commuters are on board with their Key cards. We’ve held events throughout Delaware County, signing up thousands of commuters for the new payment technology, and we’ve also had hundreds of commuters stop by our office to sign up for their Senior Key Cards.

Transportation Enhancement Grant In line with our Transportation Demand Management mission of promoting alternative transportation, mitigating congestion, and reducing emissions, DCTMA offers an Annual Transportation Enhancement Grant of $1,000.

$1,000 grant towards installation of new, secure bicycle parking for commuting cyclists.

DCTMA’s grant is open to all member companies and member municipalities in Delaware County. Welcome Our New Members!
