To be eligible, students need to have participated in at least two shows in the previous four years and complete an essay outlining how BCCT has helped them. We award a scholarship to each and every child who is eligible. The recipients of this year’s scholarships are Madeline Anders, Nicholas Bryant, Ryan DeVeau, Jackson Mizell and Hannah Repole, BCCT wishes these graduates the best of luck in all their future endeavors! The Bob DiGrigoli Scholarship This scholarship was established by our former set designer Bob DiGrigoli and his wife Kathy. Through their generosity aspiring young performers will receive a scholarship to BCCT Stages to take classes in acting, musical theatre or voice. The 2019–20 scholarships are awarded to Nicole McColley, Kelly Fitzgerald, Alysa Cainzos and Regina Messenger. Good luck to these recipients.

The Cal Seymour Scholarship This scholarship was established by his family in memory of our friend and mentor, Cal Seymour, to be given to a graduating senior who has exemplified Cal’s love of the theatre. The 2020 recipient was Jared Pesciotta. Nicholas Bryant (Jay) has been a part of the BCCT family since the third grade and has appeared in 17 BCCT productions. His favorite BCCT roles were Jacob Marley, Buddy the Elf and Kristoff. Other memorable roles include Prince Chulalongkor (THE KING AND I) and Buttons (NEWSIES) at the Algonquin Arts Theater. Nicholas is a graduate of the OCTVS Performing Arts Academy and will be attending Rider University to pursue a BFA in Acting for Film, Television and Theatre in the fall. Nicholas would like to thank L’ogan J’ones for inspiring his love of dance. Lastly a heart felt thank you to Loretta and Heather for always believing in and allowing him to be his authentic self. He will miss them tremendously.

Ava Buray (Carlos) is thrilled to be cast in BCCT’s production of DESCENDANTS THE MUSICAl. Ava is 14 years old and will be entering ninth grade at Donovan Catholic High School. Ava has performed in 14 BCCT shows including FROZEN JR., MOANA JR., and MATILDA JR. She is extremely grateful for Miss Heather’s hard work and dedication to produce shows throughout the pandemic. Break a leg everyone!

Alysa Cainzos (Maurice, Isle Inhabitant, Auradonian, Mal Understudy) has been a part of BCCT since 2014, and is so thankful to be a part of DESCENDANTS THE MUSICAL! She’s entering her junior year at Jackson Liberty High School and is a part of the Jackson Liberty Dance Team. She really enjoys filming, editing, dancing and playing video games. Alysa would like to thank Ms. Heather and all of the cast and crew for making this amazing performance possible!

Caitlyn Chandler (Isle Inhabitant, Auradonian) will be entering high school as a freshman this fall. She had an amazing experience in junior high and was promoted with the highest honors of Hall of Fame and Principals award in addition to numerous awards for leadership and academic excellence. She was involved in numerous clubs and team sports and excelled in all, especially drama. Her sixth grade year she played the role of stepsister in CINDERELLA. She plans on staying active with drama club and looks forward to trying some new sports! Happy to be cast in her 24 th show with BCCT.

Christian Cirone (Chad) couldn’t be any happier with the role of Chad as this is his first show at BCCT! He is 17 years old and will be a senior this September at the OCVTS Performing Arts Academy. He would like to thank his parents for supporting him throughout the shows he has done over the years and he would like to thank BCCT for the new chance at doing a show during the summertime!

Noelle Coburn (Isle Inhabitant, Auradonian) is so happy to be a part of BCCT’s DESCENDANTS THE MUSICAL. Noelle is a recent eighth grade graduate. In the fall she will attend OCVTS Performing Arts Academy as a vocal major. She has been dancing for seven years and takes jazz, tap and contemporary. DESCENDANTS is Noelle’s fifth show with BCCT. Break legs to the cast! Thank you to Miss Heather and everyone who made this show possible.

Akiana Delmanto (Royal Page, Auradonian) has been studying with Heather Campagno at BCCT Stages for four years. This is her second performance with BCCT. She previously played Nigel in the recent Theater in the Park Series production of MATILDA JR. Victoria De Los Santos (Audrey) is a seventeen year old actress and dancer. She is a senior at Brick Memorial High School. You may have seen her as Tiny Tim in BMHS’s production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL or in Count Basie’s production of MOANA JR. as Te Fiti and ocean ensemble. She would like to thank her family and friends for always supporting her with her dreams. Victoria would also like to thank BCCT, for giving her this incredible opportunity in being in their production and helping her gain new friends and experiences!

William Einbinder (Ben) is a rising senior at the Performing Arts Academy and happy to be in his 17th BCCT production. Past shows include CINDERELLA (Prince Topher), A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS (Charlie Brown) and LEGALLY BLONDE (Emmett U/S). He’d like to thank God, his family and the entire cast and crew of DESCENDANTS for their hard work.

Marleigh Frantz (Auradonian) made her BCCT debut in 2015 in THE LITTLE MERMAID. Since then she has performed in several productions. She is involved in her school theatre program and enjoys singing and dancing. In her free time she enjoys playing with her dog Gemma and traveling with her parents.

Lindsay Giovine (Auradonian) is thrilled to be a part of the Theatre in the Park production of DESCENDANTS. Going into her seventh year with BCCT, there’s nothing she likes more than singing and dancing with her theatre family! To Heather and everyone involved in making this another amazing show, she says “thank you.” To her fellow cast members,“break legs!”

Juliet Kachoogian (Auradonian) is delighted to be part of Descendants! She has previously performed as Eric in MATILDA JR., Young Anna in FROZEN JR., Hei-Hei in MOANA JR. and in children’s chorus in several shows with BCCT. Juliet also played Young Anna in FROZEN JR. and Chip in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST JR. with BCCT at the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, Georgia. Juliet enjoys taking voice lessons and participating in musical theater and acting classes with BCCT STAGES. Juliet wishes to thank Miss Heather and all those involved in making BCCT such an important and rewarding part of her life.

Connor Knapp (Jafar, King Beast) is a junior at OCVTS Performing Arts Academy. He is thrilled to be in this summer’s production! His previous acting credits include roles at Memorial Middle School: INTO THE WOODS, JR.; BCCT’s productions: LION KING, JR., CINDERELLA, FROZEN, JR.; and Kidz 4 Kidz Productions: PETER PAN, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and SHREK THE MUSICAL. He would like to thank his family and friends for all of their support and wishes the cast and crew of DESCENDANTS the best of luck.

Shellby Lawless (Isle Inhabitant, Auradonian) is thrilled to be part of another BCCT production and she is honored to be part of such an amazingly talented, supportive company and to share the stage with so many wonderful performers. Shellby is going into her senior year as an acting major at OCVTS Performing Arts Academy and also dances competitively at Ovations Performing Arts Academy. Her past credits include Mrs. Wormwood (MATILDA, JR.), Judy Turner (A CHORUS LINE) and Shermy (A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS). Shellby would like to thank Heather and everyone at BCCT for another wonderful experience and her family for all of their love and support. Alex Marino (Belle, Auradonian) is thrilled to be a part of her 18th show with BCCT. You might have seen her twice as Olaf (FROZEN JR.) Gramma Tala (MOANA JR.) and Omar (ALADDIN JR.). Alex is going to be a senior and attends Toms River High School East. She is also Co-President of their Thespian troupe. Alex wants to wish the cast and crew of Descendants to break a leg!

Gabrielle McColley (Cruella De Vil, Auradonian) is a sophomore at OCVTS Performing Arts Academy and she is so excited to be a part of BCCT’s production of DESCENDANTS THE MUSICAL. Gabrielle is so thankful to all of the production team for their support and for making this show an amazing and wonderful opportunity. Break legs to all of the cast and crew!

Nicole McColley (Snow White, Isle Inhabitant, Auradonian) is a senior at OCVTS Performing Arts Academy and is thrilled to be involved in DESCENDANTS with her second family at BCCT. With her past roles as Anna (FROZEN JR.), Miss Honey (MATILDA JR.) and Sina (MOANA JR.), Nicole has never felt more at home sharing the stage with her friends. She would like to thank Miss. Heather who never fails to put on an amazing show as well as the rest of the cast and crew for making it an unforgettable experience.

Hailey Merz (Isle Inhabitant, Auradonian) is excited be a part of DESCENDANTS THE MUSICAL with BCCT. Hailey will be going in to ninth grade at OCVTS Performing Arts Academy for vocal. She currently takes tap , ballet, musical theater, modern and jazz classes at FCDA. This will be Hailey’s 23rd show with BCCT. Hailey is excited to work with the cast and crew!

Regina Messenger (Jane) is thrilled to be performing in DESCENDANTS, her 21st BCCT production. Regina will be entering her sophomore year as a vocal major at the OCVTS Performing Arts Academy. She has performed in numerous school shows as well as operas with Count Basie Center for the Arts. Regina has recently appeared in A CHORUS LINE (Don Kerr/Swing) and MATILDA JR. (Big Kids Chorus). She is a violinist, church cantor and dancer (13 years) who studies musical theatre and acting. Regina would like to thank her family and Miss Heather for all of their encouragement and constant support! Break a leg to the cast and crew!

Gianna Sophie Minardi (Auradonian, Isle Inhabitant) is thrilled to be in this production of DESCENDANTS THE MUSICAL. This is their thirteenth production with BCCT. A few of Gianna’s credits are MATILDA JR. (Bruce Bogtrotter), ELF JR. (Shawanda), SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL (Yertle the Turtle) and Peter Pan (Tootles). Gianna’s love of theater has bought them to expand their practices in opera for the past two years as well as continued vocal training in all genres. Gianna continues to take classes with BCCT STAGES in acting and musical theater. They would like to thank Heather Campagno for being an amazing teacher and their mom and dad for their support and love. Gavin Powers (Doug) is pleased to making his BCCT debut in DESCENDANTS, THE MUSICAL. Gavin will be a freshman at Point Pleasant Beach High School in the fall. He is a student at MMDA where he takes singing lessons. Gavin enjoys the beach, swimming, and spending time with his friends and family. He would like to thank his friends and family for all they did to help him get ready for this show. Thank you to BCCT for this opportunity and the attendees for their support!

Alexa Rey (Auradonian, Isle Inhabitant) is thrilled to be a part of BCCT’s DESCENDANTS. She’s shared so many memories with her cast members and is looking forward to show nights! So a big thank you to Miss Heather and everyone at BCCT. Break a leg to her fellow cast mates it is always an amazing experience with all of you!

AJ Ring (Fairy Godmother) is a senior acting major at PAA and is so elated to be a part of DESCENDANTS THE MUSICAL. Some past credits include A CHORUS LINE (Zach), LEGALLY BLONDE (Enid) and FROZEN JR. (Sven). She would like to thank her teachers, as well as her family and friends for always supporting her. She also thanks the amazing cast and crew and wants to tell everyone to break a leg!

Searra VanDerveer (Evie) Searra VanDerveer is thrilled to a part BCCT’s production of DECEDENTS THE MUSICAL! Searra will be a junior at Donovan Catholic High school where she part of the Veritas program. This is her 26th production with BCCT, where she’s performed the amazing roles of Ursula in THE LITTLE MERMAID JR, Ed in LION KING JR and Pabbie in FROZEN JR. Searra wants to thank BCCT for giving her amazing cast mates turned lifelong friends, the crew for making the magic happen and Heather for always believing in her. Break a leg cast and crew!

Bekah Venezia (Maleficent) is thrilled to be performing in her thirteenth show with BCCT. She is honored to play the part of Maleificent. She is a senior actor at OCVTS Performing Arts Academy and performed as Judy in A CHORUS LINE. BCCT credits include Weselton in FROZEN JR. and Mrs Phelps in MATILDA JR. She thanks Miss Heather, Miss Loretta and all of the parents, staff and crew for helping make another great show! Break a leg!

Ella Zarrilli (Mal) is thrilled to be part of her 34th BCCT production. Other roles Ella has played include Elsa (FROZEN JR.), Ella (CINDERELLA), Flounder (THE LITTLE MERMAID) and Timon (THE LION KING JR.). Ella will be a senior vocalist at the OCVTS Performing Arts Academy in the fall. Ella considers BCCT her second home, and there is no place she would rather be than at the BCCT studio rehearsing, learning, helping or just hanging out. Ella would like to thank Heather for being her greatest mentor! Break legs!

Grace Zarrilli (Evil Queen Grimhilde, Auradonian) is ecstatic to participate in her twenty ninth BCCT production. Some of her past credits include: Bulda (FROZEN JR.), Te Fiti (MOANA JR.) and Zazu (THE LION KING JR.). Grace is excited to be a senior actor at the OCVTS Performing Arts Academy where she had just recently performed in their production of A CHORUS LINE. She puts her heart and soul into each performance and embraces each new challenge with enthusiasm. Grace loves any opportunity to play a character different from her true self.
