Equine Extravaganza including Saskatchewan Horse Federation Demo and Tommie Turvey On Monday evening in the Brandt Centre, free of charge, the crowd will learn about horses from both a competition and a performance perspective. The evening will begin with a demonstration by the Saskatchewan Horse Federation including vaulting, , and jumping. Following the equine demonstration is one of the world’s best entertainers, Tommie Turvey, and his celebrity horses. Tommie Turvey is a renowned animal trainer and performer and will bring his fast-paced brand of horsemanship, stunts and trick-riding to the show. He has a number of different acts which include comedy, fast action and fancy footwork, friendship between a horse and a dog, and finally a special connection between Turvey and his horses. Turvey has trained many celebrity horses including the Budweiser Clydesdales and the horses you see on the hit tv series “The Walking Dead”.

CWA Show Calf Genetics Sale In conjunction with the Prospect Steer and Heifer Sale, Agribition is holding a show calf genetics sale featuring semen, embryos, flushes, bulls and bred females, carrying the latest genetics the industry has to offer.

Mini- Racing For the first time since 2011, mini-chuckwagon racing returns to Agribition. The Hawreluik Racing Group from Sheho, SK is bringing their wagon-pulling equines to Agribition and can be seen each night at the rodeo as well as on Saturday afternoon.

Steer Riding Rodeo School Agribition is partnering with the Claypool School to give youth between 12 and 16 years of age a chance to learn from the pros what it takes to be a rodeo . You’ll learn how to get on real rodeo stock in the chutes, work the rope, and finally how to ride a real steer on the rodeo dirt in the Brandt Centre.

Goat Yoga Need a break from the hustle and bustle of Agribition? Take a mental health break with an event that lets you get up close and personal with farm animals: Goat Yoga! You’ll be able to sign up for yoga classes at Agribition and share the space with inquisitive, friendly goats. Part pet- therapy, part fitness class, all fun!

Vet Simulator Agribition is partnering with the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and the Ministry of Agriculture to bring a state-of-the-art educational tool to Agribition. Starting in 2017, Agribition’s Education Program will include a full size and anatomically accurate cattle birthing simulator. The first of its kind in Saskatchewan, students will see - and touch - exactly how veterinarians help in calving, complete with a hands-on and interactive opportunity you’ll see only at Agribition! New in 2017

International Trade Centre (ITC) The ITC, a 150,000 square foot multi-purpose facility, is the newest building on the Evraz Place property, making it one of the largest interconnected event complexes in North America. The new building will be home to an entire hall of purebred beef stalling (Hall A), a brand new show ring (Hall B) which will host all purebred cattle shows and the RBC Beef Supreme Challenge, as well as home to the dairy display, sheep and most of the horse stalling (Hall C). The ITC will also host the new International Business Centre (second floor mezzanine), trade show displays, food and drink concessions and meeting rooms. International Business Centre (IBC) The IBC is a meeting and networking space for international guests and provides business services such as internet access, meeting rooms, and a hospitality area to market products and services. In 2017, the IBC will be located in the upper mezzanine of the new ITC. The new venue will provide state-of-the-art hosting facilities and feature floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the new show ring. The IBC will also be host to a daily lunch buffet. In 2017, Agribition enhanced its offering to International partners with new marketing opportunties. Visit the International section of the Agribition website for more details. When you sign up to be an International Partner, you will be entered to win $500 towards any transaction at Agribition. Exhibitors: looking to connect with International buyers? Visit the IBC anytime to meet exporters and International guests. On Monday, November 20 from 5 PM to 7 PM, during the Beef n’ Barley Reception, the IBC is hosting an Open House to connect exhibitors with International buyers. This will also give you an opportunity to get a great view of the new facilities! Catch a Ride on the Agribition Express! The Agribition Express shuttle is conveniently being offered again in 2017! The Agribition Express is a shuttle bus program, providing you a ride to and from your vehicle parked at either Southland, Northgate or Victoria Square Mall to Evraz Place for free! Benefits of Riding on the Agribition Express • No walking in the cold • No line ups at the gate • No parking challenges • Only $6 gate admission

Agribition Pro Rodeo presented by Ford In partnership with the CPRA, Agribition Pro Rodeo returns with the same format to bring more action over four nights than Regina has ever seen. Wednesday’s performance is free courtesy of The Mosaic Company. Full Contact Full Contact Jousting returns on Tuesday evening, featuring Shane Adams and the Knights of Valour from History’s Full Metal Jousting TV show. The competition does not feature choreographed jousting that you would see at dinner theatre entertainment, but rather authentic, competitive, full contact jousting.

Running with the Bulls Visitors will get a second chance to demonstrate bravery by running with the bulls Saturday afternoon for a chance to win cash and a shiny belt buckle. Volunteers Make the Show Happen As Agribition continues to grow, so does the need for volunteers to staff our newest programs and venues. Agribition in the Community Agribition staff and volunteers were active in the Regina community throughout the summer months. Agribition was involved with Regina’s 150 Day celebrations, I Love Regina Day, Exploration Days downtown, Albert Park Community Association Summer Bash, the Queen City Marathon, and Habitat for Humanity. The staff and volunteers had a great time interacting with the Regina community and giving them a little taste of Agribition!

Habitat for Humanity builds safe, decent and affordable homes alongside community partners, and we are proud to have contributed to our economy and to our community through this program. ...... 3rd Annual Kick Off to Agribition BBQ When: November 1, 2017 11 AM Where: City Square Plaza (downtown Regina next to Victoria Park) Agribition is kicking off “Agribition Month” with a twist on the previous barbeque. The event will still have live animals, trucks, tractors, displays, and free giveaways. However, instead of having a cooking competition at the event, participating downtown restaurants will have an Agribition Special on their menu for guests to enjoy and vote on. Each special will be announced at the BBQ and tasted by local celebrities. Visit each participating restaurant between November 1 - 20, try their Agribition Special, and when you vote, you will be entered to win four rodeo or jousting tickets. The winning restaurant will be announced on November 20 and featured on the Food Pavilion Cooking Demonstration Stage at Agribition. The BBQ will have free chili courtesy of the Regina Downtown Business Improvement District, so grab your friends or co-workers and experience a little country in the city on November 1! Agribition hired a new Trade Show Manager, Carrie Hackel. Carrie has been instrumental in getting the new online trade show system up and running at Agribition. Growing up in Regina, Carrie has been involved with a number of local events both professionally and on a volunteer basis. She has extensive event planning experience as well as a large network of contacts and looks forward to being part of one of the largest events in the country!
