It was nearly a year ago that the men’s and women’s teams, along with Zeta Tau Alpha, raised over $21,000 for the Lipson Cancer Center at Rochester General Hospital to fight cancer. On Jan. 21-22, the Power Play Tigers donned black jerseys to “Black Out Heart Disease”. Alongside ZTA, the Tigers were able to raise $10, 219 for RIT - 43/166 (25.9%) Opponents - 7/168 (4.2%) Finger Lakes Health in conjunction with Geneva General Cardiology Associates. Penalty Kill Largest Women’s Crowd at Ritter Arena...Earlier this season, the Tigers filled the Ritter Arena, recording their first RIT - 161/168 (95.8%) sellout in the history of the program. The attendance of 2,100 at the January 21st 2-2 tie with Plattsburgh also set the Opponents - 123/166 (74.1%) record for most fans at a division 3 regular season game. The following day, the Tigers drew 1,383 fans, good enough for second most at the Ritter for a women’s game. RIT’s previous record number of fans happened on January 23, when 1,136 fans watched the Tigers take down Plattsburgh 2-1 in overtime.
