Sr. Michelle Trikis Laboratory ICDE Plaza chimpanzee, 60 Laboratory ICDE nº3 11101 Arusha Tanzania

Londres, 28 de octubre 2019 Asunto: The job offer in the laboratory ICDE

Sr. Trikis,

I am writing to enquire about the biology investigator post advertise on the internet. I am interested in the job offer in the laboratory ICDE for the investigation to save endangered chimpanzees. I am passionate about life science and have a particular interest in chimpanzees lives.

I started to like biology when I was at nursery school. We had a class pet, a little monkey. Every week, one of the members of the class took care of Argie, the monkey. I do not remember at all that week, but I know for sure that it was very special, and that it awoke my passion for animals in me. I sure suit for this job very well because I have a complete education. I studied at Newnham College, and, I also have a lot of experience with animals, when I was 23 years old, I traveled to Kenya to work with , the famous anthropologist, until I was sent to Tanzania, in 1960. There I did my first investigation about the chimpanzees. It was going to last six months, but I am still investigating. I felt very surprised when I heard that the results of my investigations helped the scientist community advance. Since then I have been collaborating on studies to protect the chimpanzees.

Even I have dedicated my career to biology, I also have written books about chimpanzees and the importance of all animals, and I also have written some books for children, teaching them values about taking care of the nature. I have recorded some documentaries too.

When I saw the job offer, I immediately want to take the control of the investigation. For me chimpanzees are the most important of my life. The chimpanzees have given me a lot...The long hours shared in the rain forest with them improve my life beyond imagination. What I have learned from them has modeled my understanding of human behavior and of our place in the nature.

I have also seen that Lisa Weighter is the coordinator of this project. I have worked with her lot of years and we complement each other very well.

People usually describe me as an outstanding leader. I think the most important abilities I have are great time management and interpersonal intelligence.

I am excited by the chance to contribute to your organization and I am prepared to engage in continuous learning. I enjoy sharing my passion for biology and would be thrilled to lead this investigation.

With this investigation we can prevent chimpanzees being extinguished. I could talk with the boss of and ask them to make a documentary film of all the trajectory of the investigation, and we could also create a way to receive donations and continue with more investigations.

With my experience and credentials, I am ready to be engaged to the investigation. I am not going to disappoint you, I will do my best.

I have enclosed my curriculum vitae so you may examine my work and research experience, the papers I have published, and my educational background.

You can contact me at anytime on email [email protected] or on my telephone number 555-283- 504.

For all that I mention before I consider I am very suitable for the post. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,,

Valerie Jane Morris Goodall
