Hello Preschool Families!

My name is Mrs. Statzer and I am the principal here at Xenia Preschool. This is my 16th year in education and my 6th year in administration. I am very excited to welcome back all of our returning families and look forward to getting to know our new families. As we move through this year, I ask that we all have patience, flexibility and give each other grace. Plans may change throughout the year and with short notice. Please know that we will do everything we can to make this year a success for all of our students, no matter what! As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Students will be dropped off at the side door closest to the parking lot of Benner Fieldhouse. Staff will be waiting to take your child’s temperature and take them to their teacher in the field house. Doors will be open for drop off from 9:00-9:10 and 12:30-12:40. (Students arriving late will need to enter through the main preschool entrance)

Dismissal- Students will be picked up in Benner Fieldhouse. Doors will open for dismissal at 11:45 and 3:15. Parents are to enter and exit through designated doors. Masks must be worn by any person entering the building. ID will be required for pick-up. Only one adult per child may enter the building for pick-up. Classrooms will be seated around the perimeter of the gym on the bottom row of the bleachers. Parents will all follow in the same direction allowing 6 feet distance from the person in front of them to get their child and then continue in that direction to exit the gym.

Please stay around the perimeter and maintain the flow in one direction.

Miss. Ali Hills My name is Mrs. Benton and I am excited to be your child’s teacher for the 2020-2021 Mrs. Benton school year. I am lucky to work with wonderful aides in the classroom. Ms. Kelly is the aide for the morning class and Mr. Sam will be subbing in my afternoon class until a new aide is hired. I am excited for a year of learning, fun, and adventures! I can’t wait to learn all about your child, but first I will tell you a little about me. I received my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and Masters in Intervention Specialist (K-12) along with the Special Needs endorsement from Wright State . I am thrilled to be starting my 16th year of teaching. I live on a farm in Waynesville with my husband and three children. On our farm we have cows, goats, chickens, ducks, and a donkey. Back to Welcome Page Ms. Kelly Mr. Sam My name is Mrs. Carroll and I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher for the 2020-2021 school year! I am fortunate to have two amazing aides in the Mrs. Carroll classroom, Ms. Katie is the morning aide and Ms. Char is the afternoon aide. A little bit about me: This is my 5th year of teaching at Xenia Preschool. I received my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education at the University of South Carolina. I then went on to get my Masters of Science in Teaching at Wright State University. I also furthered my education with a degree in (PreK-3rd).

My husband and I live in Beavercreek. We have two children, Ava who is 11 and Noah, who is 8. My daughter does competitive gymnastics and is a member of 4H where she shows her rabbits! My son enjoys playing soccer and baseball! As a family, we enjoy boating and playing card games! When I get some alone time, I enjoy crafting!

A little about Ms. Katie: Welcome to our class! I’m Mrs Katie. This is my 15th year in education, and my 3rd and Xenia Preschool. My husband and I have one daughter, Lydia, who is also a student at the Preschool. I’m excited for a fun year in Mrs Carroll’s class.

A little about Ms. Char: My name is Mrs. Char. This is my 4th year at Xenia Preschool. My husband, Jeff, and I have lived in Xenia for 12 years. I have 4 grown children and 8 grandchildren. I also work with the Children's Ministry at Dayton Ave Baptist Church.

We have amazing classroom aides at Xenia Mrs. Collins Preschool and this year we are happy to have Ms. Lori in the AM session again! For the PM session we will have one of our wonderful aides sub in the classroom until the position is filled. We are all so excited for the school year to begin, see familiar faces and meet the newest Buccaneers!

A little about me: I am entering my 11th year of teaching and my 5th year at Xenia Preschool. My husband and I have three children who keep us very busy: Aiden (4), Rileigh (2), and Maisie (1). I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, camping, boating, and gardening. I love Steelers football, Manchester United futbol, and cheering from the sidelines in anything my kids participate in.

A little about Lori: Hi! My name is Lori Croley. I’m am entering my 8th year as a preschool assistant at Xenia Preschool. I’m excited to be working with Mrs. Collins again this year. My husband and I have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. I love spending time with my family, hiking and crafting.

Hi, my name is Heather DeLucia. I have been married for 25 years and I have 4 children - Dominic 23 (who has special needs), Nicolas (3rd year at Bowling Green), Anna (Senior at Chaminade-Julienne High School) and Mary (Junior at Chaminade-Julienne High School). We have 2 dogs - Teddy and Buddy. I have been a preschool Intervention Specialist for the last 24 years in both the public and private sector. This is my 7th year at Xenia Preschool. As you will discover my favorite color is purple and I LOVE unsweetened iced tea (especially from Speedway). I enjoy having lunch with friends at the Greene. I received my Bachelor’s and teaching certificate from Eastern Michigan University and my Master’s in Counseling and Education from University of Dayton. I am married and have 3 children, Taylor(21), Cole(15), and Caden(13). I love spending time with family and friends. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy boating on Crystal Lake in Michigan, attending my children’s sporting events, and shopping!

A little about me: I am going into my 7th year of teaching. I have been in Xenia as an Intervention Specialist for 4 years.

My first few years of teaching, I was a teacher. I graduated from Wright State with an early childhood education degree, I have my Masters in Reading, and I also have a Preschool Intervention License. I have 2 dogs: Millie Miss Becker-AM who is 11, and a new puppy Murphy who is 10 weeks old. Some of my favorite things are summer weather, caffeine (iced coffee or diet pop), spending time with family, football (Who Dey!), and fishing with my boyfriend Jordan.

This is my ninth year teaching as well as my ninth year here at Xenia Preschool. I am excited to be back!

I graduated with my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from a performing arts school in New York City and with my Masters degree in Early Childhood along with my teaching license from Antioch Midwest. I have additional certification to teach Preschool Special Education from Wright State University. I have been married 7 years and we have two beautiful girls: Charlotte (6) and Cora (2). We love our dachshund Reese and our cat Oreo as well! Music is my love along with teaching and I love to incorporate singing into everything I do! I am a Xenia high school alum from 2006! I love to spend time with family and friends and read whenever I can. GO BUCKS!!!!!

For the 2020/2021 school year, I will be doing new student assessments and providing services for Itinerant students! I am looking forward to seeing familiar and new faces come through our doors this year! I love getting to greet everyone with a smile on my face!

Mr. Sam Ms. Heather Welcome to preschool! Get ready for a fun and exciting year!

My name is Mrs. Malone. I’ve been married for 24 years and have a 15 year-old son and three cats. In my spare time, I like spending time with family and friends, gardening, and reading. I look forward to working with and getting to know both you and your child.

This is my 21st year of teaching, and my 11th year with Xenia Community Schools. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Montessori Education and a Master’s degree in Special Education, both from Xavier University. I have a Reading Endorsement and Teacher Leader Endorsement from the University of Dayton and a Preschool Special Education Endorsement from Xavier University. In addition, I have been awarded Master Teacher certification by the district.

Ms. Melissa will be our classroom assistant and has several years of experience at the preschool. She enjoys camping, doing crafts, and spending time with family.

Welcome to the school year 2020-2021! I would like to introduce myself. My name is Amy Parker and I will be your child’s teacher. I currently reside in Xenia with my husband and two children. I originally grew up in Lima, Ohio. I’m a military wife, my husband is currently serving in the Air Force. I graduated from the Ohio State with my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, with a reading endorsement, and Pre-K special needs endorsement from the University of Findlay. I have been at Xenia Community Schools for five years. I am very happy to be working with your child. I’m excited to work with your child towards their educational goals.
