In this booklet, you’ll find a list of programs and events taking place throughout the summer to assist Summer Start students in building these connections.

Many of the events take place on campus, but some opportunities will occur in the community surrounding NC State’s campus. For the off-campus programs, if transportation will be provided by the Summer Start program, a notation may be found in the program description. Please note that some programs may require registration in advance. To sign up for programs, please visit go.ncsu.edu/startevents. Program Passport Attending the events and opportunities offered during Summer Start will not only help you adjust to life at NC State, but it can also win you prizes! We’ll keep track of which events everyone attends, and if you manage to attend at least one event in the on-campus program categories (Academic Success; Social Connections; Health & Wellness; Diversity & Inclusion; and Wolfpack Pride), your name will be entered to win one of three $100 gift cards to Wolfpack Outfitters. Winners will be announced at the End of Summer Cookout on July 27.

If you want to check your progress on which events you’ve attended, send an email with your name and student ID number to [email protected].
