Rugby Club Competition May 7 th and 8 th produced some spectacular Horseball from the London and Nottingham first division and visible improvement from the Novice Senior Division.

The venue held polo, and show in different arenas during the weekend and it was great to see a number of other riders coming to watch and enjoy the Horseball.

29 th May, Bishop Burton College hosted a Town and Country Fair during their two day British Trials with Horseball entertaining the crowds during the lunch break. During the match, the news travelled fast and the gallery ended up as standing room only with riders from the Midlands and North playing a very close game resulting in a draw. Such was the success of the day that the College have contacted us with a view to holding a League competition during the two day event in 2012.

UKCC May 22 nd at Arkenfield

Level 2 UKCC candidates continued with Portfolio building and coaching practice with Dave Pettifor as well as BHA Stage 2 Riding and Horse care in preparation for the final assessment to be held during the autumn. Several of our young coach’s will be out there taking Horseball to local Club camps over the next few months in a bid to bring more youngsters into the and to show the PC instructors how to be safe when playing the game.

May 11 th Twin Trees EC held another great day of ‘friendly’ matches with players joining them from London, Yelvertoft and Warden Lodge.

Trent Valley EC League Competition June 18 -19th 80 players competed at Trent Valley in June – the most we have had for two seasons! It was great to see new junior players with real sportsmanship showed in both the under 16’s and under 13’s as players swapped to help out the other team when needed and even a substitute ‘pony’ temporarily brought in to the rescue!

Congratulations to the Derby Final thanks to Jock Holiday and Ian Mum’s team for winning the Saturday Turner for many of the photographs used night quiz at TVE and to Campbell and here and on the BHA web site Gemma (Notts 2 nd Division) who tie the www.british-horseball-association.btik.com knot on Saturday June 25 th .
