City of Rolling Meadows • www.cityrm.org • 5 Celebrating America’s Independence This year’s Independence Day Parade was a July 4th spectacle featuring colorful floats, music, and energetic community groups, but the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales (at right) stole the show as they pranced majestically along the parade route. Residents then joined in an afternoon party at the Rolling Meadows Shopping Center that featured live music, food, bev- erages, and more. Special thanks to event sponsors Rep’s Place, Anytime Fitness, Daisy’s Café, and Miller Lite. The celebration culminated that evening at the Community Center, where thousands of residents gathered to watch the rockets’ red glare of City fireworks in the sky.

The Marching Mustangs of Rolling Meadows High School entertained parade-goers .

Hillbilly Rockstars performed at the Post-Parade Party . This year’s parade was “One in a Minion ”.

Those following Uncle Sam had big shoes to fill . Food, music, and fun marked this year’s celebration . Parade-goers lined up for selfies with the Clydesdales .
