Brand Engineering SA (Pty) Ltd, a member of Brand Engineering Holdings, has been operating for more than 45 years in the construction and manufacturing sectors and carries out electrical, instrumentation and automation installations for commercial, industrial, infrastructure, mining and marine projects, not only in Southern Africa, but on the African Continent as a whole, where strong partnerships with local companies have been formed.

This success can be measured by the number of negotiated contracts that have so far been successfully carried out, and the recognition by our satisfied customers. These include government departments, mining houses, property developers and most of the leading construction and building contractors. The company’s solutions and products are sustainable and guaranteed, and are backed by reliable service and after sales support. Each project Brand Engineering carries out entails a number of stages such as planning, engineering and commissioning. The Brand Engineering Group, encompasses Brand Engineering and its empowerment company, namely Besamandla. The staff employed are qualified and experienced administrative and project personnel, electrical engineers, technicians, quality assurance/control personnel, supervisors, foremen and artisans. Personnel selection for each contract is carefully considered in accordance with the magnitude and scope of the work involved.

The group’s principle activities include:
MV and HV Reticulation including underground cables, overhead lines, substations and switchyards up to 132kV. Transmission lines up to 132kV and their switching yards. Electrical and instrumentation installations for industrial plants and marine projects. Electrical installations for large building complexes, high-rise offices, apartment buildings, hotels, hospitals (Groote Schuur), shopping centres and mass housing projects. Installation of diesel generating sets with its associated control panels. Renewable energy: Solar (ground mount, roof top), Wind and CSP.

Brand Engineering S.A. (Pty) Ltd., in joint venture with Besamandla- Western Cape and SECC, formed the SBBS Electrical Contractors Consortium and successfully completed two fast-track contracts for the Cape Town Stadium: the complete Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Electrical & Floodlighting Installations including the 2500 kVA Emergency Diesel Generator Sets and 1000 kVA Rotary UPS for a combined contract value of R250 Million.
Port Elizabeth
Besamandla Eastern Cape successfully completed two fast-track contracts for the new Nelson Mandela Bay Multi-Purpose Stadium in Port Elizabeth: the complete Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Electrical & Floodlighting Installations including the Emergency Diesel Generator Sets and Rotary UPS for a combined contract value of R145 Million. The Project was completed in 2009, in time for the Confederation Cup in 2009 and the Soccer World Cup in 2010.
