Page 1 Summerwww.oysterbaytown.com 2021 Beaches & Marinas | Town of Oyster Bay © 2021 / All Rights Reserved Greetings From Town Supervisor JOSEPH SALADINO Dear Neighbor,

A sure sign of summer is the official start of the beach season and return to our local waterways. There is nothing better than enjoying a beautiful summer day at one of our beaches, marinas, or pools, relaxing with family and friends.

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Town Board has initiated various safety measures to ensure residents still have the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful beaches. All Town of Oyster Bay Beach Facilities are closed to non- residents for the 2021 season, and the Town Board has enhanced safety measures by installing signage and pedestrian barriers. Furthermore, we have expedited the process for obtaining senior beach passes, special beach permits, and discounted beach stickers for volunteer firefighters, veterans, active duty military, and auxiliary police officers.

We are also excited to announce that at both Harry Tappen Beach in Glenwood Landing and TOBAY Beach in Massapequa we have initiated water quality improvement projects. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue work to replenish sand along the shoreline at TOBAY Beach. Both immediate and long-term plans are underway.

Our great beaches, marinas and pools help make the Town of Oyster Bay a true Staycation Destination. On behalf of my colleagues on the Oyster Bay Town Board, I wish you and your family a wonderful summer filled with fun in the sun!

Very truly yours,

Joseph Saladino, Town Supervisor Page 2 Summer 2021 Beaches & Marinas | Town of Oyster Bay © 2021 / All Rights Reserved TOWN OF OYSTER BAY BEACHES
