Australia’s top ranked golfer and former world no. 1 , along with reigning title holder , lead a star-studded Australian Open field vying for the prestigious Stonehaven Cup at The Australian Club in next Thursday.

Former winners including , Greg Chalmers, Robert Allenby, 2015 winner and crowd favourite headline eight past champions set to light up the fairways.

The Australian Open is also a chance for players to secure a place in golf’s most international championships, the British Open. The leading three players, who finish in the top 10 and ties who are not already exempt, will qualify for the 2018 British Open.

Seven’s golf coverage will be streamed on the 7Live app, with coverage of the Australian Open and Australian PGA on mobile giving Australians access anywhere, anytime on any device.

In addition to the all-day coverage on the 7Live app, 7Sport will be following the action throughout the day @7Golf and @7Sport on Twitter.

The Australian Open will be hosted by Pat Welsh, with expert commentary from Wayne Grady, Grant Dodd and Ewan Porter. Todd Woodbridge and Alison Whitaker will bring fairway commentary, and Bree Laughlin will report on all the colour and post round interviews.
