To reserve a place on this visit please logon to Wisepay and make a non-refundable deposit payment of £50 no later than Friday 22nd November 2019. This is the deadline on which the visit closes: no further places will be booked after this date. Once the deadline has passed then a consent form will be issued. Return of this consent will confirm your place. Non return of this consent by the deadline stated on the form will result in the place being cancelled and any monies paid lost.

The final deadline for the remaining payment of £100 is Friday 24th May 2020. If you would like to set up a payment plan, please contact the finance office. Please note, once a place on an educational visit is allocated, it is not normally possible for refunds to be paid if the student does not attend for any reason.

If there is any money remaining in the contingency fund after the trip then, where this is less than £9.00 per contributor, it will be retained in the school fund to support the contingency fund for other school visits. Any remaining money exceeding this amount it will be divided fairly among the contributors.

Students attending this visit will need to have a record of good behaviour and demonstrate that they can obey safety and other rules. Your child will be expected to be responsible enough to wear any seatbelt provided until informed it may be released. If the Academy becomes concerned that your child’s attendance on this visit may be a risk to their own well-being and safety, or that of others, we reserve the right to withdraw your child from the visit and any monies paid lost.

Students will be supervised by Academy staff and staff at YHA Lulworth Cove during the visit. They will be put into fieldwork groups in which they must remain when collecting primary data at each of the fieldwork locations. At each fieldwork location Academy staff will set up a meeting point which will be manned at all times. Students will also be given an emergency contact number for Academy staff on the visit.

All participants will need clothing and equipment on the equipment list (attached), suitable for the time of year and length of the visit.

Advance warning is needed of any students with special medical or other needs to ensure all health and safety considerations have been made. Parents must inform the school of any relevant medical or other needs on the visit consent form. Residential courses will require an Academy Medical Form and Code of Conduct to be completed not more than fourteen days prior to the start of the visit. A google form will be sent out to you for completion, no student may join the visit unless these forms have been completed. Notification of dietary needs for sound medical, ethical or religious reasons must also be made.

If you require any further information on this visit, please do not hesitate to contact me at the Academy.

Yours faithfully
