Computer Science from Atlantic International University (USA), a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science (California, PWU), Master of Science in Computer Science (Swansea University, United Kingdom), B.Sc. in Mathematics and Physics (University of Zimbabwe), Gold Diploma in Computer Programming (London), a Certificate in Applied Meteorology (Reading, UK), a Certificate in E-Moderation (University of Cape Town) and a Certificate in Management of Higher Education Institutions (Galilee International Management Institute, Israel). Professor Kabanda has published 75 publications (8 books, 6 book chapters, and 61 research papers published in international refereed journals) and supervised 11 Ph.D. candidates in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Information Systems and over 100 Masters Dissertations. Speech Title: Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing. Abstract The purpose of the research is to evaluate Machine Learning and Big Data Analytics paradigms for use in Cybersecurity. Cybersecurity refers to a combination of technologies, processes, and operations that are framed to protect information systems, computers, devices, programs, data, and networks from internal or external threats, harm, damage, attacks, or unauthorized access. The main characteristic of Machine Learning (ML) is the automatic data analysis of large data sets and the production of models for the general relationships found among data. ML algorithms, as part of Artificial Intelligence, can be clustered into supervised, unsupervised, semi-supervised, and reinforcement learning algorithms. The Pragmatism paradigm, which is in congruence with the Mixed Method Research (MMR), was used as the research philosophy in this research as it epitomizes the congruity between knowledge and action. The researcher analyzed the ideal data analytics model for cybersecurity which consists of three major components are Big Data, analytics, and insights. The information that was evaluated in Big Data Analytics includes a mixer of unstructured and semi-structured data including social media content, mobile phone records, web server logs, and internet clickstream data. Performance of Support Vector Machines, Artificial Neural Network, K-Nearest Neighbour, Naive-Bayes, and Decision Tree Algorithms was discussed. To avoid denial of service attacks, an intrusion detection system (IDS) determined if an intrusion has occurred, and so monitored computer systems and networks, and then raised an alert when necessary. A Cloud computing setting was added which has advanced big data analytics models and advanced detection and prediction algorithms to strengthen the cybersecurity system. The research results presented two models for adopting data analytics models to cybersecurity. The first experimental or prototype model involved the design, and implementation of a prototype by an institution and the second model involved the use of services provided by cloud computing companies. The researcher also demonstrated how this study addressed the performance issues for Big Data Analytics and ML, and their impact on cloud computing platforms

Speech Title: Defake/ Digital Forensics/ Digital Image Forgery Detection/ Talk

Abstract

With the ever-increasing use of digital media, image tampering has become imperative. This spurs the need to identify such tampering for authentication and jurisdiction. The main idea of this talk is an assessment of the lighting-based forgeries detection from the images. This technique uses inconsistencies in the light source direction to detect the image forgery. Also, with the development of AI techniques, one new term raises that is “DEFAKES” or “DEEPFAKES”. The defake media is generated by adding synthetic media in an existing image or video. This act of faking media is not new but deepfakes uses powerful artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to manipulate digital media with huge potential to deceive the information. The motive of this talk is to cover the aspects that which techniques are used to manipulate and how we can prove the authenticity of media by means of various methods.

Abstract

Blockchain is a distributed, decentralized public ledger that has gained massive momentum recently. Currently, security services such as privacy, confidentiality,

Page 12 ICICIS 2021 AUGUST 27-29, 2021 GANZHOU, JIANGXI, CNINA 1ST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON INNOVATIONS IN COMPUTER AND INFORMATION SCIENCE (ICICIS) 2021 resource provenance, access control, authentication, and integrity assurance are managed by centralized controllers. However, this centralization faces numerous security and privacy challenges. Blockchain solves such challenges as it helps to create an attack- resistant, digital data storage as well as sharing platform by employing linked block structures for data verification and a trusted consensus mechanism for data synchronization. The goals of this talk are to provide insights into the blockchain security threats, to highlight the privacy necessities for current applications, to outline their challenges and give an insight on how these challenges can be resolved by blockchain technology. ***

Speech Title: Issues, Challenges and Exiting Approaches on On-Line News Credibility

Abstract

With technological advances and internet usage, the immense use of online news in daily life is growing rapidly. In contrast, traditional media need time to collect or deliver to the reader on a daily time. In addition, many news agencies or journalists have been using social media platforms such as Facebook or Twitter to publish their news articles or even the official website. In this way, the news spread very fast around the world. Therefore, journalists are the sole creators of news, however, according to literature some news articles are fake news or not truthful or bias, which needs to convince the reader(s) by something is not true for many reasons such as politics or economic issues. Therefore, fake news is known as the greatest threat to democracy, journalism, and freedom of expression. Consequently, there are a lot of tools, techniques, approaches have been developed to detect news credibility, rumors, fake information, and misinformation. All of the existing studies have gained a great deal of attention on the online news articles which is the source of information. While the second partner of news/information is the reader(s) who is/are not involved in measuring or assessing the credibility of news articles. This talk explores the main issues, challenges, and existing methods used to detect the credibility of online news articles

INSTRUCTION FOR PRESENTERS/MODERATORS

For Authors

1. The authors must be ready in the meeting room at least 10 minutes before the start of the session. Presenters must introduce themselves to the session chair(s) and upload their Oral and e-Poster presentations to the computer. 2. Authors must be able to present on any day of the conference – the program cannot be tailored around specific requests from individual authors to present on particular days.

For Session Chair/Moderator

1. Arrive at the conference hall at least 10 minutes before the session begins. Identify the paper presenters and discussant(s) in advance, and introduce yourself. Remind each presenter of the time limits that apply, and describe the method you will use to alert them of time limits during the actual presentation. 2. At the beginning of the session, introduce yourself to the audience, announce the session/title, and offer a brief overview indicating how the papers are related. 3. Before each presentation, introduce the speaker, announce the paper’s title, the name(s) of the author(s), and provide brief comments regarding the affiliation and/or background of each presenter. Identify the individual who will be speaking if it is someone other than the first author. 4. During the presentations enforce time limits strictly so that no author (or audience member) monopolizes someone else’s time. Oral paper presentations each have 20 minutes (15 minutes for full presentation papers, 5 minutes for discussions), and 10 minutes for e-Poster (electronic poster) presentations (5 minutes for poster presentation, 5 minutes for discussions). 5. Once presentations are complete (oral paper presentations and e-Poster presentations), the remaining time can be used for informal discussion between the audience and session participants. It is your job to field questions from the audience. 6. Try to conduct the session as informally as possible (e.g., use first names when addressing participants and members of the audience) to encourage as much audience participation as possible.
