Current Legislative Initiatives Fly Quiet Program – Working in partnership with , along with state, federal, and local partners to reduce the noise from aircraft in the airspace around the airport. Our goal is to preserve and increase the quality of life around our communities

Mental Health – We began the work of finding ways to offer all our mental health care services free of charge to our cities. Cities should not be on the hook for expenses that are the responsibility of our county

Homelessness – Identifying sites in our county for motel conversation via Project Homekey which will help our most vulnerable attain housing and clean up our neighborhoods.

Transparency – With the support of County Staff, we held a virtual county budget preview and will continue to increase transparency in our budget process for the public

Environment – Meeting with Senator Alex Padilla and the Army Corp of Engineers to advocate for sand replenishment funding. This is long overdue, and our coast economy will begin to suffer if we do not act soon.
