Scarborough Ribfest. The Rotary Club of Scarborough.

The Scarborough Ribfest is an annual festival and fundraiser. All money raised by the Rotary Club of Scarborough are donated to charitable projects in Scarborough and around the world. Ribfest will have 10 Rib vendors, 20 other food vendors, a Midway and 50 crafters and vendors. Beer, coolers, pop, juice and water will be available. Enjoy rides, games, karaoke, designs by crafters and vendors and more. All ages welcome.

Invasive Species Removal and Boulevard Beds. Nature.

Meet in front of the Grenadier Restaurant. The Targets: Garlic mustard, hedge parsley, ragweed, tall sweet white clover, and more. For your protection, please dress in long sleeves and pants, closed shoes and socks, a hat and bring water and sunscreen. Tools and gloves will be supplied. Maintenance aka weeding is as important as planting and equally rewarding. Once the weeds are removed the native plants have room to grow, display their beauty and do their work providing food and shelter for wildlife.

90 minutes of free kids’ outdoor yoga classes Sunday mornings throughout the summer. Each Sunday morning, two family-oriented free outdoor yoga classes will be led by the most dynamic and popular family yoga instructors from the top studios in Toronto. The classes are 40 minutes in length. The first starts at 11:00am. The second class starts at 11:50am. The classes will be different each weekend, but the two classes each Sunday will be the same. Led by professional cosmetic advisors and hair alternatives specialists, a free Look Good Feel Better workshop helps women with all types of cancer manage the effects treatment can have on their appearance. Women undergoing all types of treatment are welcome: Chemotherapy, radiation, surgery or hormone therapy. This two-hour workshop can help you regain control over your appearance. During the workshop you’ll receive support and guidance. You will also have the chance to connect with other women facing cancer.
