After some deliberation, the winning design was given to Kailey Hampton Year 7 in Bevan House and the runners up were William Albury Year 7 in Pankhurst House and Phoebe Millard, Year 8 in Bevan House.

HT Students clear overgrown area in Lee Valley

Students from Haileybury Turnford recently went along with CHEXS to work in Lee Valley, clearing an allocated overgrown area. All students worked hard and accomplished clearing a lot of the site.

Year 11 Media Trip - British Film Industry (BFI)

Last week, Year 11 Media students had the privilege of participating in an educational voyage to the BFI for a GCSE TV Comedy Study Day. Speaking as one of the students who attended this trip, I can say it was an amazing opportunity which allowed us to really expand our knowledge and understanding of media and film. Not only did it educate us on the TV industry and comedy as a genre, but it give us a detailed insight on how to reach our full potential and write well-structured answers to exam questions in order to achieve the best possible grades for our GCSE exam this May. We had the pleasure of meeting Peep Show actor, Robert Webb, who has since gone on to star in more well-known TV comedies, and we listened intently as he expressed his personal advice and tips on how to pass Section B of the exam. The lecture was incredibly informative and we are now looking forward to visiting The BFI again next Thursday for more revision on Section A’s Action Adventure unit.

Below are two pictures that capture our exciting adventure from train to lecture.
