Queen Elizabeth Exclusives

Cunard Queens enjoy many Cunard fleet exclusives, and Queen Elizabeth is no exception.

 Britannia Club where guests travelling in AA grade staterooms enjoy single- seating dining at a time of their choosing in an exclusive dining room with art deco flourishes, a colourful ceiling with backlit decorative glass panels, a sand- blasted decorative glass wall and a panoramic window for sea views.

 Garden Lounge, a room named after one on the first Queen Elizabeth, hosts occasional evening ‘Supper Clubs’ with musical entertainment. The area has a plant-filled conservatory feel inspired by the glass houses of Kew Gardens, and with its vaulted glass ceiling it is a truly light, bright and airy place to sit by day.

 Queen Elizabeth’s impressive aft outdoor space on Deck 9 is the venue for a new concept of entertainment with garden parties reminiscent of those held at British country houses during the era of the first Queen Elizabeth liner.

 Games Deck, also named after the same space on the original Queen Elizabeth, offers paddle tennis and introduces croquet and bowls under a canopy to shield players from the sun. The bowls green is appropriate given the fact that Queen Elizabeth’s home port of houses the oldest surviving bowls green, first used in 1299!

 The original Queen Elizabeth is be celebrated in the Midships Bar on Deck 3 in a space named after one of the more popular spaces on the original ship. Cabinets house memorabilia from that liner with art deco artwork typical of the 1930s and 1940s. A piano provides the perfect opportunity for lively evenings around the piano.

 The ‘Cunarders’ Gallery’ displays captioned black and white photography from our Stars Aboard collection of previous Cunard celebrity guests on Cunard liners.  ‘Cunard Place’ displays memorabilia from previous Cunard liners and special exhibits.

 The Queens Grill and Princess Grill area offers guests the ultimate in accommodation and dining at sea. Intimate restaurants high up in the ship offer unrivalled cuisine and our own White Star Service, with uninterrupted views out over the oceans, along with an exclusive lounge bar and an al fresco dining Courtyard, and exclusive sun deck, with luxurious sun beds and waiter service. Grills Suites offer five-star accommodation, with Butler service in the top categories, and a concierge service for all. For the first time, the six main suites on board are named after the six Cunard Commodores who have been knighted:

Sir Arthur Rostron

 Commodore Sir Edgar Britten

 Commodore Sir Ivan Thompson

 Commodore Sir Cyril Illingworth

 Commodore Sir James Bisset

 Commodore Sir James Charles

Each suite features a portrait and biography of the Commodore they are named after. Cunard holds the distinction of being the only passenger shipping company who can claim Commodores who were knighted.

 The Yacht Club, which is named after the lively entertainment space found aft on QE2, offers guests the perfect venue for activities and gatherings during the day or dancing at night, with views from its 270 degrees of windows.

 Cunard was the first to introduce a Library on board Bothnia in 1874. Queen Elizabeth’s Library features a unique leaded glass ceiling and a globe from the era of the original Queen Elizabeth, along with its 6,000 volume book collection.
