iPad AirPrint AirPrint technology allows direct printing from iOS devices to printers wifi compatible. You can buy AirPrint compatible printers on the : http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_ipad/ipad_accessories/printers

If you do not have a compatible printer, you can install a driver that works as a "bridge" between your iOS device and the connected printer.

Installing driver AirPrint - Mac OS Before proceeding with the installation of the virtual driver AirPrint we must ensure that the printer connected to mac is shared on the network. To do this go to System Preferences -> Print & Scan, select the printer from the printer list and enable the "Share this printer on the network."

There are several programs that allow you to install this driver, some paid and some free. As a demonstration we used "HandyPrint" downloaded from the website: http://netputing.com/handyPrint/

Once installed, it will open the control panel handyPrint that lists shared printers on the network under the "Advertised Printers". If your printer is on the list will be visible from Click & Scout on your iPad.

Installing driver AirPrint - Windows In order to use AirPrint on Windows you have to install iTunes: http://www.apple.com/us/itunes/

Make sure that the printer you want to use is connected directly to the PC (network printers are not recognized by AirPrint) and make sure it is shared on the network. To do this go to the Devices and Printers from the Start menu. Click with the right mouse button on the desired printer and click "Printer Properties". In the "Sharing" to enable the "Share this printer". Apply the changes and exit.

- Download the AirPrint Installer: http://support.dataproject.com/ClickScout/AirPrint_Windows.zip

- Unzip the archive to your desktop (or any folder at will). - Run the file AirPrint_Installer.exe. - Click on "Install AriPrint Service. - Make sure that as "Service Startup" is selected in "Auto" and press "Start".

At this point the printer will be visible from Click&Scout on your iPad.
