STEWARDS SUMMARY OF JUDICIAL OUTCOMES Document 54 Saturday 26th October 2019 Matters from Race 26: Deputy Race Director Incident Determinations At the request of Garry Rogers Motorsport, the DRD investigated an incident at Turn 11 on Lap 21 when contact occurred between Car #56 and Car #34. A review of Hawk Eye footage revealed that Car #56 had overlap on the inside of Car #34 and that Car #34 turned in to Car #56 and therefore Car #56 committed no breach of the Rules.

After receiving a request for investigation from Motorsport Holdings Pty Ltd, the DRD conducted a post-Race investigation into an allegation that Car #34 shortcut the circuit at Turn 2 on Lap 95 and gained an advantage. Following a review of Judicial Camera footage from Cars #34 and #78, as well as HawkEye vision, and after consulting the DSA, no breach of the Rules was established. Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed The Stewards imposed a 15 Second Time Penalty on Car #22, Jack Perkins, for a breach of Article 2.1.1 of Schedule B2 (Careless Driving) when Car #22 made contact with Car #12 at Turn 11 on Lap 7 causing Car #12 to spin and lose positions.

The Stewards imposed a Pit Lane drive through Penalty on Car #22, , for a breach of Article 2.1.2 of Schedule B2 (Reckless Driving) after Car #22 pushed the rear of Car #7 at the exit of Turn 4 on Lap 97 causing the rear of the Car #7 to slide and, as the Driver of Car #7 was regaining control of Car #7, Car #22 made contact with the rear of Car #7 again causing Car #7 to spin and collide with the wall at the exit of Turn 4 whereupon it sustained heavy damage and was unable to continue in the Race.

Following the Race, and after a review of Timing data and admissions by the Teams concerned, the Stewards imposed post-Race Pit Lane Time Penalties of 34 seconds on each of: - Car #35, Todd Hazelwood/Jack Smith; - Car #78, Simona de Silvestro/Alex Rullo, for breaches of Rule D10.2.13 (a Car which is two or more Laps behind the lead Car must reposition itself by driving through the Pit Lane so that it is not in front of any Car that is less than two Laps behind the lead Car prior to the lead Car crossing the Control Line at the end of a SC deployment or on the restart Lap). Although Cars #35 and #78, which were more than two Laps behind the lead Car, did drive through the Pit Lane during the SC deployment between Laps 88 and 91, they failed to reposition behind Cars that were less than 2 Laps behind.
