Day 2: Arrive in the resort town of Interlaken. Ideally located in the heart of the Alps between Brienz and Thun Lakes, this town is home to breathtaking mountain scenery. Your accommodations for the next four nights are at the Hotel Metropole. Dinner is provided this evening. (D)

Day 3: Today we'll discover Lucerne, the Alpine "City of Lights." Explore narrow cobblestone streets, covered bridges, frescoed houses and fountains. We'll discover the world famous Chapel Bridge and the Lion Monument, a tribute in stone that Mark Twain wrote "...would be impressive anywhere, but nowhere so impressive as where he is." Spend free time to explore Old Town and shop for Swiss chocolates, watches and so much more. (B)

Day 4: Today enjoy the green valleys of the Alps. Visit the tiny fortified town of Gruyeres, famous for its cheese making. Later travel to the shores of Lake Geneva to tour Chateau de Chillon. This picturesque 12th century castle has inspired writers and artists for years. Explore the famed resort town of Montreux where you’ll have free time for lunch. Later board the Golden Pass Panoramic Train for a scenic ride from Montreau to the tiny town of Gstaad. Return to Interlaken after a great day of sightseeing. This evening dinner is provided at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 5: You are free today to explore the beautiful resort town of Interlaken on your own. Enjoy some shopping or enjoy a cruise on scenic Lake Thun. You may also take a spectacular optional train ride to the top of Europe. Climb through the Alps by cog wheel train to the Junqfraujoch. Here at over 11,000 feet, experience the highest train ride in Europe. There will be plenty of time to enjoy the astounding views of the lofty peaks of Eiger, Jungfrau and Monch…a most remarkable experience. Your evening is free to explore the many dining opportunities that surround your hotel. (B)

Day 6: Depart today for Innsbruck, Austria, visiting the country of Liechtenstein en route. Upon arrival, enjoy a walking orientation tour featuring the St. Jakob's Cathedral, the Hofburg Imperial Palace and the Golden Roof - a symbol of the city and a wedding gift from emperor Maximillian I to his new bride. We’ll spend four nights at the Hotel Grauer Bar, steps from Innsbruck’s historic Old Town. Dinner is provided tonight at your hotel. (B,D)

Day 7: Travel to Munich, the capital of Bavaria and experience a tour of the city. See the Nymphenburg Palace, Olympic Park, city hall and Viktualienmarkt. Later visit Oktoberfest, the largest fair in the world. Enjoy a typical Bavarian meal in a traditional tent and relish the extraordinary atmosphere of this famed event. (B,L)

Day 8: Today we venture to picturesque Salzburg, the famous filming location of the beloved film "The Sound of Music." There is so much to discover in this charming city. We'll admire St. Peter's Churchyard, the Great Festival Hall, Mirabell Gardens and Mozart's Square. Tonight, enjoy dinner at St. Peter's Restaurant. Dating back to 803, this is considered Europe's oldest eatery. (B,D)

Day 9: This morning’s sightseeing features a visit to the fairytale castle of Neuschwanstein for a picture taking stop. The rest of your day is free to explore charming pedestrian-friendly street of Innsbruck’s Old Town area. This evening enjoy dinner in the Hofburg Imperial Palace. Later experience a Tyrolean folkloric show as singers, dancers and musicians dressed in national costume provide a rousing evening of great Austrian entertainment. (B,D)

Day 10: Today you’ll be transferred to Munich’s airport as you return with fond memories of this Alpine Country experience. (B)
