Basara was a collaborative Subud endeavor but Indonesian youth were at the core helping to coordinate and developed the program. In the end, 150 young people from 19 countries traveled to Rungan Sari in Central Kalimantan to take part.

The International Helpers are testing with Subud groups about the importance of the archives and what it means for our future. Some of the receiving indicates that the archives make Subud stronger and will help guarantee that the Subud we all know and love will be available for future generations. Ibu Rahayu has talked about the archives in the past couple of years in some of her talks. Here is an excerpt from one:

“So, it seems that people are being led to have more understanding about the soul. That is why I have explained that the archives are the source for Subud. They should be preserved for all time, because as long as we have the archives and they are profes- sionally managed, Subud will not lose its source.” 1
