South Cambridgeshire Adopted Policies Map Draft for adoption September 2018 1. Introduction

1.1. The Adopted Policies Map has been prepared to illustrate geographically the application of the policies within the South Cambridgeshire Development Plan, and has been updated to reflect the Local Plan adopted in September 2018. It includes a key to explain the symbols and notations which it uses.

1.2. At September 2018 the adopted development plan for south Cambridgeshire comprises: • South Cambridgeshire Local Plan 2018; • Northstowe Area Action Plan 2007 (excluding Policy NS/3(1g), which is • replaced by Local Plan Policy SS/7: Northstowe Extension); • Cambridge Southern Fringe Area Action Plan 2008; • Cambridge East Area Action Plan 2008 (excluding policies CE/3 and • CE/35, which are replaced by Local Plan Policy SS/3: Cambridge East); • North West Cambridge Area Action Plan 2009; and • Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Minerals and Waste Local Development Framework 2011– Core Strategy and Proposals Map C 2011, Site Specific Proposals Plan and Proposals Map A and B 2012.

1.3. The Adopted Policies Map comprises a district-wide Policies Map together with Inset maps for each of the major development sites and the villages.

1.4. There are two cases where the area covered by Area Action Plans means that the Inset Maps for nearby villages are not entirely clear in respect of the area included within a Conservation Area. Under the plan making system, it is not possible to show an allocation or policy area on the Policies Map more than once. Therefore, the full Longstanton and Teversham Conservation Area boundaries are replicated in Appendices 1A and 1B and a note has been added to the Inset Maps for Longstanton and Teversham.

1.5. A number of designations shown on the Policies Map are identified and provided by external organisations. See notes under the policies map key.

1.6. Map updates: The policies map will be kept up to date as new development plan documents covering the plan area (including Neighbourhood Plans) are adopted. As paper versions of the policies map cannot be continually updated and in particular after you received this copy please remember to check for any changes on our online policies map: http:www.scambs.gov.uk/adopted-policies-map
