Alexander Graham Bell

Early Life Alexander Bell was born in Scotland in 1847. His dad was a scientist and his mum played the piano. As a child he wanted to know how sounds were made.

In his life Alexander Bell did many great things...

What Did He Do? • He invented the telephone with the help of Thomas Watson. • He worked with deaf people. • He set up the Bell Telephone Company.

The End of His Life Bell died in 1922 in America. When he died, all the telephones in America were turned off to show respect.

Did You Know…? In the first ever phone call, Bell spoke to Mr Watson.
