Target National and international Local Action Groups

Objectives and framework

Practically, all the Local Action Group os and EU have contributed to promote the dissemination and promotion of etnographic, cultural and natural values of their territories. Since 1992, with LEADER initiative, one of the chosen tools has been the creation of Interpretation Centers, Nature Class, Museums and similar schemes to foster environmental education in our territories.

Financial and economic crisis, and a drastic decline in public funds also, has resulted in the closure of this local entities and museums caused by insufficient funds.

We need to show society that not only cities can be SMART. This project moves us to work together to solve territory problemas that we share in common.

“We have to keep these centers and museums open so that hey continue to fulfill the purpose for which were created”. MUSEOS VIVOS is a new project in 19.3 RDP Castilla y León.

Specific objectives:  To design a common strategy for the promotion of the culture of rural territories  To design common actions that allow the opening of these centers or museums  To design SMART instruments for the dissemination of the ethnographic and natural heritage of rural territories
