DIRECTIONS TO THE VILLAGE For transportation questions or emergencies please call: 07 94 11 45 34 Travel from to Leysin, Switzerland by car

1. From Geneva: Please look for the green signs indicating the highway. You will be looking for signs towards the city of and the Grand-St-Bernard. Continue on this highway for approximately an hour, until you see the exit for , which you will take. It is the first exit after Villeneuve, at the far eastern side of Lake Geneva.

From Italy: You will be traveling on the highway through the Rhone valley towards Lausanne and Geneva. You will go past cities like Sion and Martingy. Continue on this highway until you reach Aigle.

2. Exit the highway toward Aigle and drive past the traffic light until you can go no further. Take a right at the end of this road. Drive into Aigle until you get to the traffic circle at which point you will drive straight through the traffic circle following the signs for Leysin/Les Mosses/. From here on, you will follow the beautiful mountain road in the direction of Leysin for about twenty minutes.

3. As you drive up the mountain and get close to the little town of Le Sepey, take two left turns following the signs for Leysin.

4. When you are in the middle of Leysin, you will see a rotary/traffic circle. To the right you will see the Classic Hotel and a church. At this point you want to take a left around the traffic circle and go up a hill for about half a kilometer. You will then look for signs for “Hometown, Europe” at the Beau Reveil Building on the left side after a sharp right turn and a very steep section of road.

Travel from Geneva airport to Leysin by train (Duration: approximately two (2) hours)

1. After exiting customs in Geneva (use the green door), take a left and go all the way down the hall until you see a sign for the train station.

2. Follow the signs for the train station (the station is below the airport) and you will see a ticket-counter. Your ultimate destination is LEYSIN-FEYDEY STATION. The people at the ticket counter can speak English.

3. You will take the “train direct” in the direction of Brig/Simplon. The train departs every hour at 9 minutes past the hour. This is the most direct connection.

4. There are seven stops total, until you need to change trains, they are: Geneva, Nyon, Morges, Lausanne, , and Aigle. You will get off at the seventh stop, which is Aigle.

5. Get off at Aigle and then walk to the other side of the train station in Aigle and take the cog train that has “A-L” on the side of the train car. That is the Aigle to Leysin train. If none is there, it is because the train is on the way back to the station.

6. 6. When you arrive in Leysin, disembark at the third stop “Leysin-Feydey” station. Upon arrival during the recommended times, a representative from Hometown, Europe will meet you there and escort you to the village.
