ANNUAL REPORT 2019

For more than 47 years, Greater Volunteers has promoted volunteerism and engaged people in service to help our community. Our 2200+ volunteers share their time and talents to help at local nonprofit organizations and to help those in need.

Volunteers help sort, pack and distribute food at hunger centers; prepare and deliver meals to homebound people; tutor children and adults; provide support to those living in homeless shelters or prison; provide comfort and encouragement to hospital, nursing home and hospice patients; and help at local museums and theaters.

Through the efforts of our volunteers, countless people are assisted and nonprofit organizations are able to continue or expand their services.

In addition to finding volunteers for other nonprofit organizations, Volunteers manages the Cleveland affiliate of the national AARP Foundation Experience Corps literacy tutor- ing program for students in the Cleveland and Euclid schools; the Cuyahoga County chapter of the national RSVP program for older adult volunteers; and communications activities for the Encore Cleveland initiative.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our volunteers, nonprofit partners, donors and funders for their support!
