Do you want to understand your children better? Are the ways you were parented influencing your parenting decisions? We’ll explore these issues and many more. This program uses mindfulness techniques to lower your stress levels and increase your confidence as a parent. This group is a partnership between Parentzone Northern and Melbourne City Mission. This program looks at practical ways to tackle issues that create stress in families – communication, discipline, etc. and most importantly ways to lower stress levels of parents with basic self-care techniques. This group is a partnership between Parentzone Northern and the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS) and is open to all parents/ carers of Aboriginal children. This practical program will look at these developmental changes and support you in keeping your relationship intact. Come and join other parents in discussions about boundaries, communication and how to reduce stress in your family. So what is ‘normal’ and who’s really doing all the worrying? Being a parent is the most important job in today’s changing world. It is also the most challenging. One day it may be exciting and rewarding and the next day it’s overwhelming and frustrating. Parentzone provides information and support for parents of children of all ages, from babies through to young adults.
