The Puck Shall Not Pass: Minnesota State sophomore goaltender Calla Frank faced a flurry of shots, stopping 52 pucks, when the Mavericks faced Ohio State on Jan. 22. The sophomore netminder's total is tied for third in the nation for saves in a single game in 2020-21. St. Cloud State's senior netminder Emma Polusny sits just behind Frank in fifth on the national saves in a game list. The Huskies captain made 50 stops against Minnesota Duluth on Dec. 5 to earn her first spot on the leaderboard. She also sits tied for 12th after making 45 saves against Minnesota Duluth on Jan. 29. Three other WCHA goaltenders also rank in the Top Ten for saves in a single game.
