1. Beep Driver (v. 5.0.2)

Description: The Beep driver is used for numerical paging systems whose server accepts DTMF codes (Dual-tone-multi-frequency). This driver can be used with vocal or not vocal, numerical or analogical modems; the only requirement is the generation of DTMF codes.

Options of configuration:

General options: - Dial number : number of the server. - Internal number (no prefix) : Force dialling without prefix for internal number. - Wait for remote pickup : If the option is checked, Jericho calls the server and waits until this one answer before transmitting the request for sending message. This option works only for modems able to detect phone pickup, i.e. a numerical modem or a vocal analogical modem. - Address size max : maximum length of a pager number. 0 means no limit. - Address size exact : If this option is checked, the size of the pager number must equal to the size indicated in the field ' Address size max '.

Address transmission : - Temporizing before sending address (s) : Time in second to wait before the emission of the address. This duration starts when the server answers if the option 'Wait for remote pickup' is checked or at the end of the dialling. - End address DTMF code : DTMF code to send after the address.

Message transmission: - Temporizing before sending address (s) : Time in second to wait before the emission of the message. - Message header : Sequence of DTMF codes to send before the message. - Message end : Sequence of DTMF codes to send after the message. - End message DTMF code : DTMF code to send after the message (like ‘Message end’).

Message validation : - Temporizing for validation (s) : Time in second to wait before transmitting DTMF code of validation. - Validation DTMF code : DTMF code to send after the message after a temporization.

Services configured : - Tatoo numeric (France). - Bip-Plus (France).

2. Email driver (v. 1.0.2.6)

Description : The email driver is used to send emails through a SMTP server. A remote access connection can be used if the server can’t be reach directly.

Configuration options :

General options : - Default sender : If the sender is not specified with the message, the default sender is used. - Default subject : If the subject is not specified with the message, the default subject is used.

Connection to the mail server : You can choose here how the driver connects to the mail server : - Connect to the server using a local area network : choose this option if your mail server is located on your local area network or if you have a direct Internet connection. - Connect to the server using a modem : choose this option if Jericho must establish a remote access connection before connecting to the mail server. o Dial using the connection : Specify here the remote access connection to use. o Login… : When you have chosen a remote access connection, click on this button to enter the user ID and password for this connection. - SMTP server address : Enter here the network address of your mail server, you can type an IP address like 192.168.10.2 or a network name like mail.domain.com. - Your e-mail address : this e-mail address will be used to indicate the sender of emails sent by Jericho.

3. ASCOM driver (v. 1.0)

Description : The ASCOM driver allows using an ASCOM system by serial link or by modem to send messages to alphanumeric pagers.

Configuration options : - Protocol : Selection of the communication protocol with the ASCOM system. This protocol has to be chosen in function of the equipment interface (T940SI / P940AI). - Wait to transmit (sec) : When this value is not zero, a message will be considered as transmitted only on reception of the call performed indication from the ASCOM system. This option allows a more accurate control of the transmission (notably the management of receiver absence), but it decrease the performance of message transmission. The value defines the maximum timeout for waiting for the message transmission from the ASCOM system. - Number of beeps : Selection of the number of beeps emitted by the pager on message reception, 0 to 9 (0 = 10 beeps). - Number of transmissions : Selection of the number of message transmissions to be performed by the ASCOM system, 1 to 9. - Messages priority : Selection of the priority of the transmitted message, 1 = urgent alarm, 2 = high priority, 3 = normal priority. - Header : Enter here the header text that will be transmitted before each message. The header can include the following information codes : o &D : message date (JJ/MM) o &H : message time (HH:MM:SS) o &S : message subject o &F : sender name o && : character ‘&’ - Connection : Type of connection between the PC and the ASCOM system : o Direct connection if the ASCOM system is directly connected to the PC. o Modem connection, if the ASCOM system has to be called, through the phone network. - Modem parameters : This button gives access to the communication parameters setup when the connection type is modem.

It can include the following codes : o &T : Tabulation o &N : Go to next line o &U : Name of the called user - Fax identifier : Calling fax identifier (20 characters maximum). This identifier is used by the protocol to identify the calling fax on the display of the receiving fax machine and for the statistical reports. For compatibility with some fax, it is better to only use numeric characters (generally the phone number of the calling fax). - Page header : o Left part : This is the left part of the header text which will be printed on the top of each page. It can include the following codes : ƒ &D : Current date with the format "DD/MM " ƒ &H : Current hour with the format "HH:MM:SS" ƒ &I : Fax identifier fax (string set in the field "fax identifier") ƒ &P : Number of the current page ƒ && : Character "&" o Center part : This is the middle part of the header text (see Left part). o Right part : This is the right part of the header text (see Left part). - Logo (first page) : o Pathname of bitmap file : Name of the "bitmap" file which contains the logo to print on the first page of the fax. This logo is printed on the top of the first page, after the header line. The file name must contain the full path of the file if this last is not located in the current path of the application. If this field is empty, no logo will be printed. o Height (mm) : Height of the logo to print. This height is used to size the logo, proportionally to the original bitmap. o Position : Position of the logo on the page. - Fax parameters : o Class 2 : If this option is checked, the modem will be used in class 2, if this interface is available on the modem. If the "class 2" interface is not available, the modem will be used in class 1. If this option is not checked, the modem will be used in class 1. o Resolution fine (196 dpi) : Vertical resolution to use. The choice "Fine" corresponds to a vertical resolution of 196 points per inch. If this option is not checked, the normal resolution is used (98 points per inch). o Max baud rate : Selection of the baud rate used by the modem to transmit the fax (don't confuse with the baud rate used to communicate with the fax modem, defined in the communication parameters). The baud rate depends on the modulation supported by the fax modem used : ƒ - 2400 bits/s V27 ter ƒ - 4800 bits/s V27 ter ƒ - 9600 bits/s V29 or V17 ƒ - 14400 bits/s V33 or V17 5. If this option is checked, one call will be performed for each message.
