Integeo Map Intelligence

This software allows organisations to develop Web-based geospatial applications. Target users are organisations which rely on location information to make decisions, such as real estate firms, retailers, fisheries, defence, police and family agencies. Map Intelligence features a "spatial hub" that allows seamless interoperation between major business intelligence and geographic information system (GIS) vendors and products. According to the vendor, the Map Intelligence API offers fast integration with any third-party software and already supports Cognos, Business Objects, Hyperion, Excel, MapInfo, ESRI and several open standards products. Integeo said Map Intelligence does more than just display data on a map or floor plan. The platform can be used for incremental development and making changes on the fl y, allowing developers to respond to user needs dynamically. The software is highly extensible and customisable, while its plug-in architecture enables solution designers to create new specialised functions and features. Users can specify what information to pass to the GIS or between Web services and how to treat that information. For example, as a real-estate user hovers over a point on a map that represents a property sale, a pop-up window can display sale date, price paid, property type and the agent's details. Map Intelligence will run on any operating system that supports Java. Distributed by Integeo. RRP: pricing on application Web: www.integeo.com
