Hyland Hills Sparkles as we Hail in the New Year

This is the fourth year Hyland Hills is presenting Holiday Lights Mini Golf at Adventure Golf & Raceway. We hope you have enjoyed the holiday lights spectacular and are planning on it again as part of your family’s holiday traditions. The extravaganza will begin on weekends in early November and go through December 31st, open more days and hours as we get closer to the Christmas holiday. Our impressive display will be the only major light display in the northern metro area and we have been adding lights and effects that will surprise and delight you! After the New Year, we will set our sights toward the spring opening of Adventure Golf & Raceway which will open for its normal season in early March, weather permitting. At that time, the go karts, bumper cars, “ninja-style” ropes courses, maze, and three courses of miniature golf will all be in full swing! We would also like to encourage everyone to get over to our newest park addition, Clear Creek Valley Park on 58th & Tennyson Street, to enjoy early spring days surrounded by the park’s beauty. It took nearly 15 years of steadfast determination by the District to get such a large regional park built for you to enjoy! We will begin programming team sports activities there in 2018 on the multipurpose fields and the spacious pavilions are now available for you to rent for special occasions. The park was already recognized as a 2017 award-winner by the Colorado Special District Association, and, of course we share that recognition with the entire Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District community. The Hyland Hills Board of Directors, our employees, and I are looking forward to 2018 and the continued opportunity to bring you excellent parks, recreation and athletics programs, and facilities. As always, we also welcome your at www.hylandhills.org and at the Administration Building where we are here to serve you.

Yvonne Fischbach, Executive Director

HYLAND HILLS FOUNDATION TURNS 25

Hyland Hills debuted our new 81-acre park in southern Adams County on Friday evening, September 22nd, with a community-focused festival! While participants scampered for cover amid gusts of wind and rain, those who stayed enjoyed food, music, air castles, beer, wine, hot air balloon glow, and double rainbows at the first ever official District event at the park. We are planning on making ParkFest an annual community event at Clear Creek Valley Park and hope to see you there next year.

ADAMS COUNTY SHERIFF’S FOUNDATION FOOTBALL BOWL! In October, the Adams County Sheriff’s Foundation partnered with Hyland Hills Athletics and Westminster Public Schools for the First Annual Adams County Sheriff’s Foundation Bowl at Ranum Middle School. Sheriff Michael McIntosh announced each of the young football players and coaches individually, and the Sheriff’s office brought their Special Units: K9, SWAT, Bomb Squad, Motorcycle Unit, Bike Patrol and the Mobile Field Force Team for all to see. The Sheriffs Foundation presented trophies, ribbons and certificates to the lucky teams and individual players.
