Golf: Mohammad Siddikur Rahman Bangladesh's golfer Mohammad Siddikur Rahman finished 59th out of 60 participants in the individual stroke play event.

Athletics: Masbah Ahmmed Bangladesh’s fastest man Masbah Ahmmed exited the 2016 Rio Olympics as he finished fourth out of seven participants in the heats of the men’s 100-metre event on Saturday. Masbah, who clocked 11.34 seconds, ended at 14th place among 21 athletes in the overall standings. This was the 21-year old’s maiden appearance at the Olympics. Masbah’s best timing is 10.72s and even if he had clocked 10.76s in the preliminaries, he would have qualified for the first round.

Athletics: Shirin Akter Shirin, the fastest woman of the country, had announced before the Games that she wanted to improve on her personal best (11.99s). But she clocked 12.99s and finished fifth in the heats of the 100-metre event. Shirin ended her campaign at 17th position among 24 participants.

Swimming: Mohammad Mahfizur Rahman Bangladesh swimmer Mohammad Mahfizur Rahman made his second Olympics appearance as he finished 54th among 85 participants in the heat of the men’s 50-metre freestyle event. The 23- year old swimmer however, kept his promise by recording his best ever personal timing. Sagor clocked 23.92 seconds on Thursday. His previous best was 23.93 seconds which he recorded in an open swimming competition in Thailand this year.

Swimming : Sonia Aktar Swimmer Sonia Aktar Tumpa did better in the heats of the women’s 50m freestyle event. The Jhenaidah swimmer recorded her best ever personal timing – 29.99s. Sonia concluded her mission at 69th place out of 88 participants.

Archery: Shamoli Ray Archer Shamoli Ray made a first-round exit from the recurve bow event of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games when she lost her bout against Mexico's Gabriela Bayard at the Sambodromo Stadium in Rio de Janeiro last night. Finished 53rd out of 64 competitors in the ranking round, Shamoli failed to put up a decent fight against the Mexican, losing the first set of three shots 27- 28, the second by 23-28 and the third by 25-28.

Shooting: Abdullah Hel Baki in qualification round Bangladeshi shooter Abdullah Hel Baki has finished 25th out of 50 shooters, scoring 621.2 points. Italy's Niccolo Campriani topped the qualification round, scoring 630.2 points to smash his own Olympic record.
