Act One

Alice's sister is giving Alice a history lesson. Alice is daydreaming about a Dear Susan world more interesting than the world of "grown-ups". As she falls in and out of sleep, she sees the White Rabbit. She chases him through the rabbit hole and enters the nonsensical world of Wonderland. Her fall lands in a chamber of Time runs so fast and I already miss the season doors. She eats a tart that causes her to shrink and grow until frustration com- pels her to cry a pool of tears. Her tears amount to an ocean of mermaids and of our collaboration. other sea creatures. They bring her to dry ground where she is met by enthusi- astic birds and animals ready for games. She encounters a curious caterpillar. Alice watches as the caterpillar changes into a beautiful butterfly. Sergey Act Three

As Alice enters the Queen of Heart's Court, she meets a parade of charac- ters. The games begin and Alice is challenged to play croquet with the Queen. A ball knocked on her head sends Alice to dreamland. She dreams of the Knave of Hearts and herself as a princess. The Queen's command for the chopping of all heads abruptly brings Alice back to Wonderland. The Queen then demands for the quick and nimble Cheshire Cat to be caught; but instead, it is the Knave who is captured and put into chains. The Queen calls for a trial and all in the court are called to witness. Once again, Alice shrinks and grows as she tries to save the Knave from the Queen's wrath. The Cheshire Cat appears to rescue Alice and to bring her back to the "real world". Alice is asleep next to her sister once again as her sister is "watching the setting sun and thinking of little Alice and all her wonderful adventures, till she too began dreaming after a fashion and this was her dream: how she would keep, through all her riper years, the simple and loving heart of her childhood."
