Quick Facts about Seoul & Korea 04 05 Founded in 1886, Ewha Womans University is Korea’s very first higher education institution for women.

As a comprehensive research university, Ewha has 14 colleges and 14 graduate schools including traditional areas of strength, such as humanities, social sciences, pharmacy, law and arts, as well as new areas of excellence, such as science, engineering, and medicine with two affiliated cutting-edge hospitals.

Ewha welcomes both male and female students for non- degree exchange or visiting (study abroad) student programs. Ewha Ewha is located at the heart of Seoul and students can gain firsthand experience of the capital city. The population of international students at Ewha is around 2,100.

Womans Korea's FIRST International Summer College University Co-ed Program Founded in 1971, Ewha International Summer College(EISC) is Korea’s oldest international summer program and has been the epicenter of global exchange for summer students all over the world. The EISC prides itself in its ability to provide a comprehensive academic program, accompanied with dynamic field trips and cultural excursions that allow students to immerse in Korean cultures. It features two programs: Session I (4 weeks) and Session II (2 weeks).

You can find over 40 courses in various academic disciplines. All courses are Humanities Asian Women and Ecology taught in English by faculty from top universities around the world including Advanced Topics in East Asian Religion Ewha. Contemporary Korean and Korean American Fiction

Introduction to Eastern Philosophy * Each course is worth 3 credits and you may choose up to 3 courses. After completing the program, we will send you or your university an official transcript Philosophy of Literature to help you transfer credits. Most institutions accept the credits earned at Ewha, International Studies & International Relations of North Korea with East Asian Countries but it is at the discretion of your home university. The Art & Design Track is a new track that has been established for students with a special interest in the field of Korean Art & Design. The College of Art and Design at Ewha is the first 4-year art institute established in Korea. Students can register for diverse courses ranging from Korean Ceramics to Korean Wood Carving. The Pre-College Track is designed for high school students in their final year to get a glimpse of university life before it really begins. Prospective students entering university in September 2019 are eligible to apply for our EISC and take all courses and field trips.
