Cadbury Dairy Milk still UK’s most loved chocolate

Cadbury Dairy Milk (CDM) is still the United Kingdom’s favourite chocolate brand, according to a study conducted by market research company IRI.

Previously, it was reported that Maltesers overtook Cadbury Dairy Milk. However, this was rectiﬁed later on as not all Cadbury Dairy Milk variants were included. IRI apologized for the error.

“Cadbury Dairy Milk, manufactured by Mondelez, remains the number one overall brand in confectionery with sales of £157m in the Convenience channel, and £504m in the Total Market, 12 months to 13 Sept 2015,” stated in an email sent to Petrolplaza by Eureka Communications, which lists IRI as one of its clients.

However, the chocolate covered malt honeycombs Maltesers are still one of the most selling chocolate confectionery brands clinching the top 3 position of the IRI ranking with £54.3m in sales. It follows chocolate bar Galaxy (£81), likewise manufactured by Mars, as it placed in the no. 2 position.
