On April 4th, I will celebrate my 23rd year at the Toledo. This past Monday, I met Dr. Bates in the hall and he sparked a memory of Dr. Myron Fink, who was a long time member of the Club. Dr. Fink would have dinner every Saturday at 5:30 pm in LOGO the Main Dining Room. GLASSES When Dr. Fink became unable to come to the Club for dinner $ I called him every Monday for 10 one year to plan his meals for CHARLOTTE Hall the week. I arranged for a Dining Room Manager cab to pick his food up every 419.243.2200 Ext. 2134 day at 5pm. During the final weeks he would have to go to the hospital, I would call the cab and tell him to deliver the meals to St. Vincent. When the Club closed for our annual shut-down in August, I arranged for the Chef at Inverness Country Club to prepare his meals, and the cab company would again make the delivery. During one of our weekly conversations Dr. Fink said “Charlotte, we’re becoming good friends” and I said “sure we are”. It pleases me to know that I was able to do this for one of our senior members. In conclusion, this is part of the $ many rewards I have gained by 25 working here at the Toledo Club.
