Exodus Chapter 3

14) “And said unto , I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.” INTRODUCTION

Moses was a Hebrew man who was raised by Pharaoh’s daughter. His mother, for fear of the Egyptians who were killing all male Hebrew babies, placed him in a basket and then into the Nile river.

After he was grown, he found out that he was a Hebrew. He went out to his brethren and witnessed all their afflictions and heavy burdens. One day he saw an Egyptian beating one of his brethren. He murdered the Egyptian and then buried him in the sand.

Pharaoh found out and sought to slay him. Moses fled as a fugitive to the land of Midian. Eventually, Pharaoh died but the children of Israel continued to cry unto God for their deliverance.

God chose Moses to be the deliverer for Israel. He felt so inadequate for the task, for he was shy and slow of speech. God chose his brother Aaron to be God’s mouth piece and helper.

While Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, he came unto Horeb, the mountain of God.

“And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of the bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.” Ex 3:2

Ex 3: 13) “And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them,”

14) “The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”

15) “And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.” Exodus 3:13-15 “I AM THAT I AM”

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Tim 2:15

“Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:” Isa 28:9-10

“Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.” Hos 4:1

“Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.” Prov 3:13

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” Hos 4:6

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” John 17:17

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Tim 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:16-18

“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” John 3:19-21

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” Eccl 12:13-14

These verses you just read, should get us to think seriously of our relationship with God and get back to Bible Study.

“Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” John 5:28-29

“He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” Rev 22:20

The purpose of this study is to prepare you, so you can search the scriptures of God's word and find truth, that is needed to connect the dots to understand the Great Controversy, that is still taking place today.

Note: Anybody can try and make the Bible say what they want it to say, but no one can change what the Bible says or means. “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Rev 22:18-19

“For I am the Lord, I change not;” Mal 3:6

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isa 55:11

There are many Bible Studies to choose from and much is on doctrine, but very little is mentioned on the Great Controversy that tells us why it is important to study God's word.

Why? Because there is a lack of understanding of knowing who God is, to begin with. Many do not know that there is a battle going on for worship, or who is involved ...and the question is, do you know this and are you sure you are worshiping the true God of the Bible, or are you worshiping someone else?

This is important, because you could be studying all your life thinking you are worshipping the true God, when in fact you haven't. This is tragic and all in vain, if this is the case.

"But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." Matt 15:9 So the Bible tells us that there are those who worship God in vain, and it could be you.

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isa 1:18

This study is to reveal the Only True God and the Great Controversy being wage on for worship, to reveal the one who is waging that war and his desire for your soul, ...who is, "The Enemy Of Souls". May you find the Wisdom, the Understanding and the Knowledge, you need for True Bible Study, that only comes from and His son Jesus, through the power of their Holy Spirit .

Says Jesus, “If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” John 14:23

God Bless you in your quest for knowledge in Jesus' name, of whom wisdom comes from.

“My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.” Prov 2:1-6

“My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee”. Prov 3:1-2

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Prov 3:5-6

“Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:” Isa 28:9-10

“To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” Isa 8:20 Rev 12: 1) “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:”

2) “And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.”

3) “And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.”

4) “And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.”

5) “And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.”

6) “And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.”

7) “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,”

8) “And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.”

9) “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Rev 12:1-9

“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” Rev 12:17 “for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Rev 19:10

“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” Isa 14:12-15

Ezek 28: 12) “Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.”

13) “Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.”

14) “Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.”

15) “Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.”

16) “By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.”

17) “Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.”

18) “Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.”

19) “All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.” Ezek 28:12-19

By definition of the description of the King of Tyrus, we understand that it is referring to Lucifer, son of the morning. Though many folks use these verses to show Lucifer's intent, very few really know and understand that Lucifer really meant what he said and is deceiving the people of God to this very day. He wants worship plain and simple. But how is that possible, and could we be worshiping him and not know it? Is he not a deceiver and an liar ?

“Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” Matt 4:8-10

Rev 13: 1) “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.”

2) “And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.”

3) “And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.”

4) “And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?”

5) “And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.”

6) “And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.”

7) “And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”

8) “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Rev 13:1-8

By worshiping the beast, you are worshiping Satan !

“1st Angel’s Message”

“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” Rev 14:6,7

Note: The meaning of fear; “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Prov. 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” Prov. 9:10

“Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God”. Prov. 2:5

"The Fear of the Lord" ...Is the "Knowledge of God"

Knowledge of God leads to the Worship of the "One True God"

11) “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”

12) “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” Rev 14:8-12

“And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Rev 19:10

4) “And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

5) “But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.” 2 Tim 4:2-5

God Bless you and may the Lord breath upon you His Holy Spirit.

“And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12
